Many things I quite enjoyed in X3, particularly the Phoenix scenes:

1. When the Phoenix awakens in the infirmary, when the room starts to shake and she takes off.

2. Phoenix vs. Xavier at Jean's house. It was one of the film's most emotional scenes, and it emphasised clearly how Phoenix cannot control her powers (her confused look after she kills him is evidence to that).

3. When Phoenix senses a scared little girl, and her refusal to help in the final battle. It truly showed the conflicting personalities within Jean's body, and her struggle to overcome the Phoenix.

It's just too bad those scenes were deleted. I think, even being as short as they were, would have done wonders to help give some depth to Jean's struggle.

Pretty much . . . James does great with what he has. If Famke hadn't come prepared (or let the role be re-cast as she once mentioned), we would have really been in trouble.

I think Powell's score is magnificent, I feel he captured the entire essence of the X-Men in every note played.

The CGI certainly got its money's worth, the special effects in the film were just as impressive as you'd hope them to be; from Magneto's ripping the Golden Gate Bridge to Dark Phoenix's disintegration attack at the end.

Cinematography was great, I liked how the film was shot.

Casting was also top notch, I loved every returning actor and every newly selcted one...except the President I thought he was downright awful!

The score is truly awesome. It should be the ultimate X-men theme. Also, the Phoenix theme is simply wonderful. If there's something that makes the movie better, it's the soundtrack.

Beast & Kitty were both solid new intros.

Most of the old faves were on top form (those that were given a chance).

The individual entrances of the X-Men onto the battlefield was also great and something I've wanted to see for a long time. I also liked the cure storyline.

1. Famke. Her delivery of "stay out of my head" was flawless and bone chilling.

2. Young Angel's scene. And just his flying scenes. That's about it from him.

3. James Marsden. Aside from Ian and Famke, he gave a great performance despite the little he had to work with.

4. Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart. Great chemistry between the two.

5. Kelsey as Beast. Fantastic casting choice.

6. The score was great as well. I loved Dark Phoenix's Tragedy and Phoenix Rising.
