The graphics look as good as they should.

I mean this is 2009! :p

Am I the only person here who thought X2: Wolverine's Revenge was a pretty sweet game? Though this that blows away

I'd kill to be working on a Marvel video game instead of lame Sports games... :cmad:

The fact that we couldn't keep the claws turned me off completely.
I really hope the new one won't be like that.

I liked it even though it was X2 related in name only and the pic of Hugh on the cover......myself, I also found hard, really hard...

This game is looking good. An M-rated PG-13 movie game? Marvel at that!? Sweet.

I hope Deadpool, Sabretooth & Gambit are playable by the end of the game. Maybe they can even have slightly alternate choices for each of those. Adding to re-playability, maybe add achievements/trophies for going through the story as those guys,

With the exception of Spiderman and Ultimate Spiderman, Superhero games, Movie Tie-ins and ESPECIALLY super-hero movie tie-ins all blow huge meaty chunks.
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, the X-Men Legends franchise, The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, Fantastic Four: The Movie could be good at times, X2: Wolverine's Revenge wasn't completely atrocious, either.

That's all I've got. :csad:

Marvel vs Capcom is supposed to be a good series. I've never played any.

You guys forgot Spider-Man 2. Best movie game ever.

but to whoever said movie tie in always suck... This game is made by the people who made the x-men legends game and ultimate alliance...

i KNOW this will be decent - great

not all movie tie in superhero games blow.

and its all opinion anyway...

Not a big gamer over here, but this looks more than a little tempting.

Marvel vs Capcom is something you had to catch onto during the huge 2D revival era in video gaming. If you picked up a Dreamcast or some kind of emulator and tried playing it now, you might not like it right away, but maybe you might. I loved the arcade game, particularly the sequel I was very good at. Back in the MvC2 and Capcom vs SNK 2 days, it was a good time to be a 2D fighter fan.

This is why I'm also really eagerly anticipating Street Fighter IV. Because if that goes well, we can see the emergence of 2D fighters again (well, I still call them 2D because you're fighting on a single plane). I'd love to see a Marvel vs Capcom 3 or anything else done Street Fighter IV style and not necessarily in a MK vs DCU style.

and yeah, Spider-Man 2 was probably the last movie VG I ever bought and played through more than once.

Activision's X-Men Origins: Wolverine
In Activision's upcoming prequel game based on the film of the same name, we learn what fighting machine Wolverine is all about

Wolverine is one badass fighting machine. If you don't believe us, check out Activision's upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine, based on the film of the same name. In it, he jumps out of a helicopter in the middle of Africa, just a few seconds before it explodes. He doesn't have time to grab a parachute, so he engages in a 1,000 plus foot freefall. He finally hits the ground, leaving a dusty crater in his wake. After taking a moment to recover, his self-healing ability kicks in. He's then back on his feet, unleashing his adamantium claws on some unlucky soldiers.

That's just one of the epic moments you'll experience in Activision's upcoming game. In this prequel, we learn what the former soldier's all about, how he was created and what he intends to do with his newfound adamantium weapons.

Unlike other comic book games, X-Men Origins: Wolverine features plenty of violence. Ol' Wolvy rips through enemies like tissue paper. He never hesitates in grabbing a guy from the back and ripping through his throat with his claws. There are other moves that spill just as much blood, including a stomach slice that leaves some poor sap's intestines on display.

If for some reason enemies cut Wolverine's health bar down to size, all he needs to do is find a safe spot and it'll automatically regenerate. Just be careful not to lose too much energy on the battlefield.

There are many stages to visit in Wolverine's latest adventure, including an escape from the Weapon X facility where he was made and the aforementioned Africa stage. There will also be new additions, as well as boss encounters with familiar faces from the Marvel lexicon. These include a 100-foot Sentinel, the particle explosive-charging Gambit and Sabertooth, an enemy that's just as relentless as Wolverine.

Although we haven't seen much of the game in action yet, X-Men Origins: Wolverine should stay true to the tone of the action-packed film. To further ensure this, Activision enlisted two of its actors to recreate their roles for the game. Hugh Jackman growls his way through each stage as Wolverine, while Liev Schrieber is a formidable opponent as Sabertooth. We wouldn't be surprised if the game included footage from the movie as well.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine should be one of the better Marvel-licensed games. With its high amount of carnage and excitement, it's doubtful that ol' Wolvy's claws will grow dull. We'll find out in early May when the game slashes its way to stores.

That actually sounds pretty good.

I might have to start saving up.

Can't wait for in-game shots of gambit and wolverine.

Does this mean Deadpool wont be in it?

Gambit and Sabretooth? hell yeah! I'm definitely buying it now

No, I'm pretty sure he'll be in it. They just listed three names.

Why waste a possible boss?

I read all that stuff and saw the 360 rotational pics. In the end most things we read are just hype and the game maybe totally different than the image they are presenting for our imagination. I'm trying not to get hype until I see this game in action (a movie clip as opposed to pics would be nice.)

Costumes are a must. It could be cool if the masks actually look decent on the Hugh Jackman render.

There should be an unlock-able Deadpool mode where you play as him as he constantly breaks the fourth wall and chastises you and everything else in the game
