It came to me when I remembered the very begining of the movie. Maybe this is because my main frame of referance for the x-men world came from the saturday morning cartoon, but there's one mutant who can save Prof X, Scott, rearand stop the Pheonix from turning evil.

Just a suggestion of a plot.
Every mutant everywhere was rejoicing. A president who welcomed them. A mutant at the UN. A way out if they wanted the choice to be "normal."
But it came at a high price. the loss of Charles Xavier. of Scott Summers. Of Jean Grey. The School for mutants, now under the tutalage of Storm, was still the prominent Safe haven.

Then the cure's affects began to wear off. the X gene had mutated them. They became more powerful. And a plague among mutants and humans was sweeping the earth. They blamed mutants. It appears that the sentinals had been built over all this time of peace.

War broke out. more deaths. on all sides. The school failed. and mutants everywhere tryed to fight back under the leadership of Magnito. They were losing. Only one hope. Go back and set things right. I am the last hope for mutant kind...they call me Bishop.

They call me Time Travel...and I would suck in an X-Men movie

I wanna see Bishop, they've no problem screwing up comic origins, so they can just ditch the whole future idea completely...

i mean, storm's the only major black character in the films...

i would definantly love to see bishop because i think the plot would work, but agreed it would be hard to keep the sense of realism that x-men has established if you included time travel. but it IS a possiblity

Well someone needs to save Charles and Scott...I mean Pheonix will find some way to rise...did nightcrawler do it?

Time travel is better than cloneing or putting your mind in another body.

Plus, let's get real; yes there is a SENSE of realism in the movies. But it is a very small sense. Whenever you have a woman who can shapeshift into anyone, guys whose limbs can be cut off and grow again rapidly, or a guy whose skin turns into metal, I'm pretty sure you are throwing reality out the window. Time travel could work fine under these circumstances.

WHY DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO SAVE SCOTT?????

Cant we just just accept that hes dead and move on?

New characters?

New storylines?

I would bring back Nightcrawler and have him Beast and Magneto teach at the school...and have a new group of X men to enjoy (since the old group has very clearly been killed off once already...twice in jeans case).

Bishop should be played by Michael J. Fox.

Someone has to save scott because he's Cyclops. You don't kill off Cyclops. He's the leader. The moral fiber. A bit messed up in the head...but who isn't thats ever lost a loved one?
He's ment for Jean Grey...at least until we get to see Emma.

Because he was cheated out of starring in HIS movie. The Dark Phoenix Saga is huge for Cyclops, and they gave him 2 scenes!! He deserves more than what these films gave him. I want to see him back in full leadership potential.

I think they should reveal that he never even died in the first place, and instead was taken by Mr. Sinister.

Im sure the hate will spew for this but I always felt that Logan and Jean would be the better couple even in the comics. To me the only thing Cyke have over Wolverine is that he met Jean first. Everyone whining about Scott being dead, just stop. He's done, or maybe he's not. They didnt show him die, yet how a person without some strong abilities like Prof X and Jean can come back from being dust in the wind is beyond me.

Oh so hes more meant for Emma than Jean???

No offense...but you are a human sheep!

Scott is my favorite character, but he has been killed in the movies...and I dont need super-magic to bring him back.

And PS...Emma is using Scott...and when she turns on him I guess you'll say that she was never right for him...

my guess is he is coming back in the next film
but for right now scott is at least PRESUMED dead

Maybe instead of the time travel idea, take this opportunity of events (the 3 deaths) and have Marvel follow a different story line than the comics.

I like the idea that the "cure" makes the mutants even more powerful when it wears off, and then follow through with another war, like the "days of future past" type of story line. I've been away from the comics for sometime - has this story line ever been followed through? The last I saw of it was when Kitty was transported back into the younger Kittys body. At this time Colossus and Wolverine were both killed by Sentinels.

Cyclops wasnt cheated out of HIS movie...he is a member of a team whos had dozens and dozens of members...the movie version of those characters were handled differently.

Deal with it...hes my favorite comic character...and hes dead...accept it and move on.

What if it were to be Kitty Pryde going back in time?

No, but the point is the Phoenix Saga is where his character should be integral to the story. Half of Wolverines scenes belonged to Scott (tracking down Jean, stopping her rampage/killing her, leading the final battle, hell even the Danger Room scene was his). Basically, it's like cutting Wolverine out of X2, which was a film centered around his backstory.

The movie I saw did not have Wolverine pushing Cyclops to the side in those scenes...Cyclops was dead by the time those scenes happened.

You do realize that the movie and the comic are not the same right??

Dont get me wrong...I sympathtize with you...I hate Wolverine and love Cyclops...but i understand that an Xmen franchise starring cyclops as its focal point wouldnt be nearly as successful as it is now.
