Iron Man 2 The only thing we need to know now is..

Iron Man is only 2 hrs and 5 minutes.

I hope Iron Man 2 is at least 15 minutes longer than the original.

135 minutes (2 hours and 15 minutes for the mathmatically challenged)

i win, discussion over :woot:

Yeah i agree 2hr 15 is a good runtime, just as long as the pacing holds up because man transformers 2 dragged at some points.

Iron Man 2 has a lot of Plots and characters to cover up. I maintain my 2h40min.

That's waaay too short

:hehe:

No, really -- 2h40m is too much for this Iron Man. He ain't that serious :cwink:

I bet on the running time being around the same as the original.

I just hate it when they neuter the story by aiming for the shortest runtime possible, or in other words...the FOX method.

And then there's the Michael Bay method: neuter the story AND have a 2.5 hour runtime. :hehe:

Transformers 2 was like 2 hrs and too many minutes long.

And, I got bored during that. I got bored. During a Michael Bay film.

Oh well, I hate Bay and <3 Jon.

I don't care how long the movie is as long as the story is well paced (like the first one).

Transformers 2 would have benefitted from a shorter running time. It got to the point where I didn't give a crap what happened to the characters, I just wanted the movie to end.

I wish he was standing on the charge that was in the pool.

Or the Tiger was having a bad day. :(

I want it to be an Epic 2hr30 minutes. The first Iron Man should be a baby compared to this one. More characters and higher stakes, im hoping Dark Knight quality, that leads to a somewhat cliffhanger.

Someone mentioned in another thread all the things that will be going on..

As long as it doesn't feel too long. One of the first's strengths was that it is extremely rewatchable(thanks largely to it's pacing and how the runtime doesn't get out of hand). TDK doesn't have that and I think it's mainly due to the extra(and unnecessary) 15-30 min.

i dont know about unnecessary sir ha. Na i dont want to start a TDK vs Iron Man discussion. I do know what you mean however, Iron Man is very re watchable and moves fairly quickly. I just felt that it was kind of too simple in ways, it did follow traditional superhero film formula. I have great faith that Jon F will know how to bust out an epic sequel. Something that kicks off and doesnt let you go and keeps you wanting more.
