Ste we just naming fat actors?

A "squat" build would be a more accurate term, and that doesn't fit all overweight actors. DeVito's build and manner of locomotion was perfect, which is why I'm still puzzled that Burton decided to make him look like a dirty Cabbage Patch Kid.

Giametti or Jack Black are probably my favorite choices for the part. Giametti would also be a great Harvey Bullock.

Indeed, I've seen both Giamatti and Black play serious roles, and either one could nail Penguin's personality. I could see either one dressed like this:

I also hope we get at least one scene where Oswald lays the smackdown on someone to prove that he's more than just an umbrella.

Giamatti is far more versatile than Black, but I wouldn't be opposed to him at all.

I just wouldn't be able to take Jack Black seriously as Penguin. Giamatti is a rather good choice though.

Black would be perfect for the 60s reinterpretation in modern day :hehe:

I'd be fine with Paul Giamatti as Penguin but still like the idea of Timothy Spall, Alfred Molina, or Ray Winstone playing Oswald Cobblepot. I really wanted Bob Hoskins for the role but alas.... :csad:

I don't want a movie where Penguin is the main villain but I hope he is in the next movie in a small role.

Just someone who doesn't look like an emo pop punk frontman.

Agreed. Penguin is best used in a secondary role, even on the page. Perhaps as a gangster who is secretly Batman's informant, perhaps as the center of an introductory action sequence, perhaps as a moment of levity or comic relief, but not as the main antagonist.

Richard Armitage or eddie marsan

Eddie Marsan I could definitely see as Pengy.

As much as i like the traditional penguin, I'm really feeling the "telltale" version too.

I haven't played it. I assume he's something radically different since you made a separate distinction from traditional Penguin.

Very different. You you dont plan on playing or dont mind the spoilers you should watch the first couple episodes of the game. I think visually their version looks great and he feels a lot less like a side villain.

Well I'd like to get the traditional Penguin this time around. I think it's overdue. Danny DeVito's Penguin, while very entertaining, was a far cry from the traditional version, too, being a sewer dwelling freak, running around in a dirty onesie half the time, with a gang of circus clowns, and plotting to murder babies.

In the wake of Bob Hoskins' death, since we all know he was a firm favourite amongst the fans. I would like to know, who should takeover being the new favourite around here? So, who would you like to see as our new movie Penguin?

I had two choices playing as the Penguin but both died. :(

I have to will get back to you on the new actors

Probably need to take Robin Williams off the list too.

How about LeonardoDiCaprio? He's about the right age and has the right facial features.

Albert Brooks or Timothy Spall

I would honestly be open to Jack Black, maybe he could do something with it
