i've been listening to the DWARVES constantly for about 3 weeks. I would have said it before but i feel the need to spread the pure joy that it is listening to them with everything. punk rock and roll gods...though some of the newer stuff really isnt' up to par. Everyone should be listening to this band.

Incubus- Light Grenades

finally getting closer to their routes with this album. Boyd shows off his vocals and their new bassist from The Roots ups the music, leaving you tapping your fingers to a beat thats just underneathe the guitar. The DJ is toned down somewhat but still present, this album is more about the music than Boyd's cleverly powerful lyrics, making the songs much shorter.

Compalints include the song Diamonds and Coal which feels liek a filler song. other than the well written first verse, the song is annoying and the chorus is well below boyd's lyrical standard. As a whole, i was dissapointed with the albums 45 minute or so length even if they do provide some great memorable songs. they claim that its their hardest album since Science, and its true.. and as i love songs like dig and paper shoes (boyd writing about love so easily can't help but include a few tracks on the subject), id rather hear a little more of A kiss to send us off and light grenades.

4.6/5

Man, I forgot how awesome Depeche Mode is. Blasphemous Rumours is their best yet, IMO.

"man..i don't wanna sound like a queer or nothin..but i think depeche mode is a kick-ass band"

....god i love Orgazmo..i think i need to watch it tonight now.

i just discovered the band "dirty on purpose". fun, catchy dream-pop. check 'em out.

this album Is all kinds of cool, for anyone who liked the self titled debut will probably love the short and sweet new album ( which is almost an EP at 7 songs) the genre that would most fit them is "post punk" or whatever.
they have a nice thing going with the completely different voices and song construction.

please, don't direct your erections towards me. point them at teh waits.

 you even sexualise Idol worship?????
have you no shame?
you're sick! no Virgin sacrifices for you :down

i sexualize everything when i'm drunk, and i was extremely drunk last night when i posted that.

Has anybody listened to "The Knife" ?
I can't stop listening to " we share our mother's health"
It's actually pretty decent, a bit of electro revivalist, but OK overall.
they remind me more than a bit of French band called " Les Rita Mitsouko"
granted one is new and the other is from 1982, so it kind of drives home the whole "revivalist" thing.
