Why the 16th or 20th?

There is rumour, which says that WB thinks about May 16th as release date.

But there is also another choice as June 20th, more usual r-date for Batman movies, which always are released in June.

With a name like "Dark Knight", to the every-day average movie-goer, they'll be like, "What the hell, ANOTHER Batman franchise?!" These posters are cool, but something that really shows that its a sequel would be cool.

Where did you come with the release date the movie will either be released in May or June but not August.

I hope they keep the opening from BB with the huge swarm of bats all flying and making out a bat-emblem before breaking apart. When I saw that in theaters the first time with awsome surround sound I about crapped myself.
