Just like how "Charlie's Angels" and "Get Smart" are being remade into movies, what aobut the television shows of now? What if they were to make remakes/movies of them years and years down the road? What TV shows can you seen this happening to, and who could you see being casted into the roles?

I was goofing off talking about this with a friend the other day and we talked about how funny it would be 20 years from now if they remade "Supernatural" into a movie (heaven forbid). For some reason, I could see an older Drake Bell as Dean and an older Jesse McCartney as Sam.

Don't shoot me. But Honestly, I think it'd be pretty funny to see how they handle the roles of my beloved SPN boys.

Friends
Buffy
Angel
Ugly Betty
Desperate Housewives
Lost
Heroes
The office

I could see them make a feature film of My Name is Earl in 20-30 years. It would suck, but they'd do it.

Buffy.
Hayden Panettiere.
Story over.

Too bad by the time the "remake" cycle comes around (20 years or so) Hayden will start looking more like a blonde Rosie O'Donnell.

Burn. That would be terrible.
I was thinking more about a remake in the next 5-8 years.

Buffy and Angel are cult shows. Their respective studios wouldn't green light feature films after seeing how well the Whedon audience carried over to Serenity. The remakes you see now-a-days were all hits in their times. That is what you need to look at it. If the 24 movie never gets off the ground, I'm sure in 20 years or so, there will be a 24 feature film because it lends itself to it.

Serenity is different when talking about Buffy and Angel, whose ratings were better and far more popular and bigger star power. Buffy would probably get a load of media coverage and marketing if it ever happened.

Not really. It was a good show, but at best it achieved a cult following.

doesnt mean it would tank as a movie if ever made. Serenity is a lot less known then Buffy which basically everyone knows of. It made it in tv land, it has made it in comic book land, it could make it in movie land.
