Speaking of Jodorowsky not sure about a remake, but there is a published Son of El Topo, which is pretty much a script for a potential El Topo sequel.

I had a dream that Paul Thomas Anderson was going to write and direct a Moby-Dick movie and it pretty much made my life.

Now I just have to find a way to contact him. :funny:

Call me crazy, burn me at the stake, throw stones at me, whatever...

but I'd love to see a reimagining of Back to the Future. Preferred director would be Jon Favreau. There, I said it. No shame.

i m looking forward to the new he-man masters of the universe remake its supposed to come out next year 2019!! then i wouldn't mind seeing the phantom being remade!! i heard that they were going to remake it that was several years ago!! i know they made like an live aciton tv movie of the phantom on the sci fi channel!! but i didn't like it!! they were going to make like live aciton phantom tv series if the movie did good which it didn't !! but i wouldn't mind seeing an live action phantom reboot movie!! also i wouldn't mind an live aciton real dark & gritty with lots of martial arts reboot of teeange mutant ninja turtlers!! i wouldn't do cgi but have people in suits but i would use some cgi!! i would make it like the orignal 1990 teeange mutant ninja turtlers movie!!

I was looking forward to MotU as well, until I read Goyer is directing. That ruined my hope.

I think if Universal ever gets it off the ground that Creature From The Black Lagoon remake should lean more toward the latter two Gill-Man movies for inspiration - a sort of cross between Blackfish and Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes that has the audience rooting for him to maul the hell out of as many of these poking, prodding, baiting, smiling, PR-script-spouting wetsuits as possible, and cut loose as many sharks and rays and piranha and gators and octopi and whathaveya from whatever holding tank they're penned up in to have at the leftovers.

I mean, now would be the perfect time to go down this road; Aquaman's coming, the Apes saga is over (for now), and Shape Of Water has already effectively covered the "Beauty And The Beast" part of the story. Time for Bad^$$ Fish Moses. Plus if Universal's gonna keep trying to re-imagine its classic horror and monster films as comic-book hero-adventure wannabes, why not focus on a monster for whom it would be almost painfully easy to get the audience behind instead of yet another flippin' vampire or werewolf or mummy flick?
Have Ben Burtt augment the old Gill-Man roar; give the flick the less-clunky-but-still-indicative title of The Gill-Man; toss in a teaser trailer comprised of shots of chaos, panic, destruction and horror at a billion-dollar marine theme park set to Jethro Tull's Aqualung and you're good.
