So disrespectful:(

What games do you all have? I'd suggest just picking up an old classic and forcing yourself to play at least the first couple levels. These games may not be appealing in abstract thought yet they'll win you over if you just get into them a little.

Let me check... Gyruss, Blaster Master, Mario/Duck Hunt, Maniac Mansion, Ninja Gaiden, Bad Dudes (Are you a bad enough dude? ), Smash TV, Pro Wrestling (Heheheh, Puma!), Super Mario 3, Guerrilla War (Underrated to say the least), Kung Fu, Iron Tank: The Invasion of Normandy, POW Prisoner of War, Operation Wolf (One of my favorite games ever, the arcade one anyhow. Nes one sucks on more levels than I thought possible) And I had Jaws but I shot it up with a BB gun... I think I've got some others hanging around.

I've got double copies of Guerrilla War and Operation Wolf, if you want them... Send them to you free of charge.

And disrespectful my ass, I've been playing the NES since the day it came out. :D I ran through all of the games I bought, than it just kind of didn't interest me anymore. :( It'll happen again though, one of those every few years kind of things. ;)

I missed the auction I wanted to bid on by like 5 minutes:(

Look at this crime:(
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31583&item=6962368038&rd=1

Only $35:(

Ah, that sucks dude. Helluva deal... I mean, majority of those games were just uber badass. Ah well, new deals always spring up, especially after one good one, something even better comes up. I woulden't of wanted that auction anyhow, I'm picky. I like having the cases and instruction manual and all that.

You know, I was going to ask what happened with you and that auction. Seeing some of the games on that list, not to mention the price it sold for, it's a damn shame you missed it. :(

Granted, it wasn't the greatest game, but it was still fun. How could you do it in like that? :(

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but old PC games that I like and miss are Crusader: No Remorse, Crusader: No Regret, Gender Wars, Syndicate, Full Throttle, the X-Wing series.

I've got a mind to pick up Ninja Gaiden and Bad Dudes myself. I'm not really looking for Guerilla War or Operation Wolf, but if you ever come across a nice Kid Icarus cartridge that you wouldn't need...:o

Your Jaws cartridge deserved that bb.

But speaking of cartridge generosity, maybe looking out for each other isn't such a bad idea. If I ever had an extra copy of an old game that someone wanted, I'd send it to 'em. That being said, I'm officially looking for:

Kid Icarus
Ninja Gaiden
Metroid
TMNT 2
Kirby's Adventure

If anyone had a good condition copy of one of those, I'd be willing to barter, perhaps using the familiar monetary system to urge a cartridge out of your fingers:o

I've got Ninja Gaiden, Metroid, and TMNT 2, but only one copy of each, so I'm not parting with them. :(

Scheherazade was another really interesting title. I used to love it as a kid.

I've been aching to try it out. It was in that auction I missed. I think the title is so phonetically appealing:(

It was a rather appealing action RPG in the lines of wanting to be simular to Zelda, with a bit of an Arabian Nights feel. There was also a Time Traveling and World Traveling element that kept the levels fresh.

so i've heard.

Has anyone played that PS2 Rygar? I was playing the NES Rygar the other day and wondering how far removed the PS2 version is.

It's pretty and fun. Kind of hard in spots, not very long, and zero replay value, but still pretty and fun. I'd buy used, borrow, or rent.

I MISS WIZARDRY

especially 7 (Crusaders of the Dark Savant) and 8

also Tyrian, Raptor, and... crap I can't remember the company's name but they did great pinball games like Android and Enigma

oh my god do I miss those games!!

Oh, Actraiser. I loved that little angel thingy:(
Those sim city-esque levels were infinitely more fun than the sidescrolling

The Side-scrolling levels weren't too bad, though.

I had no idea you liked Wizardry. Though, considering how much you and I are alike in terms of gaming, I shoulda figured. Though, Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord was my personal fave.

Think of a DMC with a bit of CastleVania LoI, decent graphics, and no real replay value.

Never played that one, my brother pulled Crusaders out of the bargain bin right before the Gold remake came out and we both got sucked into it. We actually had to set up a schedule to play some days, haha... and it happened again with 8.

What was your party? Mine was:
Helaina, F Rawulf Valkyrie
Kisada, M Felpurr Samurai
Aramoro, M Human Ninja
Natalia, F Human Monk
David, M Gnome Priest
Lorelei, F Faerie Mage

Yes, Kisada and Aramoro are named after Hida Kisada and Bayushi Aramoro from Legend of the Five Rings... and yes, David's name is where you think it's from :D I loved my ninja at the end of Crusaders... I pictured him being like Daredevil, hearing and feeling enemies' movements before they hit him... they kinda softened the ninjers up in 8 :(

Proving Grounds was the NES one. I think it was the second one, but I am not sure.

As for Crusaders, I don't remember my party exactly, but I think I still have my save, despite not having the game anymore [goddamn ex].

Anyone else remember that old NES game, Stinger? It was a side scrolling space shooter, in the same kind of mold as Gradius, save you fought pieces of fruit and such. :o
It was a strange game, yet had a fun co-op mode.

Yeah, it was a hard to find game even back when the NES ruled the gaming world. I remember the only place I found a copy of it was at a Toys R Us; no other store had it. It was weird to say the least; I remember two of the bosses in the game: one was a giant watermelon and one was a leaky faucet (Yeah, like I said, it was a strange game :o).
Still, the two player co-op mode was damn fun.

Anyway, back to games that are well known, I just found my copy of Super Metroid that I lost not too long ago; somehow it got into my old backpack of D&D books. :o
It's been so long since last I played it, I think I'll have to put the original FF on hold for a few days.
