I have a Wii hooked up so I regularly (not really though) play games like Super Mario and Bubble Bobble (NES) and MarioKart (Gamecube and N64). Then of course the various Zelda games from all the different consoles.

Was pretty young around this time, so I didn't play a whole lot of this era. My parents had an old Atari 5200 and I recall playing these games a lot..

Pac-Man
Joust
Pole Position

2nd Generation:
This was when I really became a gamer. Went to visit my Grandma when I was about 5. She had an NES set up in her living room and my sister and I spent the dayplaying Super Mario Bros & Kung Fu. My parents eventually got an NES for my sister and I to share. My favorites were:

Super Mario Bros. 3
Contra
TMNT II
Ducktales
Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers
Darkwing Duck
M.C Kids
Wacky Races
Mega Man 5
Kirby's Adventure

3rd Generation:
During a trip to Toys R Us, I just so happened to see a game kiosk showing off the new game, Sonic the Hedgehog. I was sold the minute Sonic went through that first loop-de-loop in Green Hill Zone. I was still pretty young, so my mom helped me write a letter to Santa where I basically begged him for a Sega Genesis. I was on my best behavior that year, not wanting to wind up on the 'naughty' list. The Sega Genesis became my most cherished Christmas gift, bringing me years of joy.

Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse
World of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Sonic 3 & Knuckles
Tiny Toons: Buster's Hidden Treasure
Kid Chameleon
Cool Spot
Aladdin
Earthworm Jim
Rocket Knight Adventures
Mickey Mania
The Humans
Ristar
Toy Story

Also got a SNES towards the end of its life span for a low price. Didn't play it as much as my Genesis, but I did enjoy Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Mario World & Mega Man X.

4th Generation:
Mario 64
Mario Kart 64
Bomberman 64
Banjo Kazooie
Snowboard Kids
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Crash Bandicoot: Warped
Crash Team Racing
Mega Man Legends

Arcade Gaming:
The Simpsons
Donkey Kong
Hydro Thunder

Computer Gaming:
I played King's Quest V and Bricklayer a lot on a old computer I got from my grandparents.

I forgot to add Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time among my favorite arcade and SNES games.

Can't believe I I forgot that game!

1st Generation:
Pac-Man maybe. Not as a game, but because of visuals and sound.

2nd Generation:
Tetris, comrades, is a masterpiece.

3rd Generation:
Street Fighter II (SNES). Greatest fighting game of all time.

4th Generation:
Ridge Racer Type 4. A racing game for those who don't like racing games all that much. Super romantic with stunning soundtrack and Reiko Nagase.

Arcade Gaming:
I didn't play arcade games till emulators in late 00s. But it's Street Fighter II.

Computer Gaming:

I was primarily a PC gamer in 90s and 00s, so majority of my favorites are on this system.
Thief: The Dark Project, Fallout, Diablo.
If the first half of 2000s counts, throw in there Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines.

I'll add MK and MKII to the arcade list. All my life I played the Sega version and real arcade version looked and sounded so much better.

I remember looking through some sort of mail based catalague back when I was a kid seeing a bunch of odd systems besides the NES.

Besides arcade and PC's, here's a brief perusal of the Console Industry (here's the link if not wish to click on all of the links below List of video game consoles - Wikipedia) for a trip down memory lane...

Can click on above master link or specific links below for visuals on the various systems listed by date of release:
