The Return of Cloak & Dagger

Considering how often Cloak has been used in a slew of Marvel books over the past 3 years simply because his shadow-cloak is a good dues ex machina to transport people, it is about time the pair returned to action beyond RUNAWAYS guest stints.

Yeah now it looks like Devil-Slayer will be doing that.

At least with the redesign, it seems plausible for Dagger's costume to stay on without tape.

Must have been a Hellfire Club requirement lol. While the men remain surprisingly covered up.

Would you want to see Donald Pierce as nekkid as Emma is? I thought not. :o

How about Harry Leland in skimpy outfits?

I imagine Dagger would need a mirror every time she put on her costume. One maladjusted bit of fabric, and it's areola-city.

Now Spoons will REALLY never let me dress up as her :csad:

Eh, that just sounds like they're f**k buddies.
You made the Bud Ice come through my nose! Man it burns your brain! :cmad:

Anyway, I'm glad they are going to confront C&D relationship cuase I've always wondered that myself.

I always thought that the next time Cloak and Dagger get a title it should be a MAX title.

Cloak and Dagger don't strike me as MAX characters.

Yeah, why would Cloak and Dagger ever possibly need a MAX title?

I dunno... they just always struck me as the sort of street level, drug dealer-punching types that would do well in a MAX environment.

Just me I guess.

While they are street level and have a thing against drug dealers, I think if Cloak and Dagger were given a MAX title, they'd end up being the least hardcore characters in it. They aren't the type of characters who use a lot of profanity, kill people, or smoke (MAX still gets away with that, right?). They might be having sex, but considering the "are they? aren't they" nature of their relationship, bombarding us with a sex scene in the first couple of issues ala Alias would be an affront to their characters.

How old are Cloak and Dagger supposed to be these days?
They where teenagers orginally but I got the sense from their Runaways appearance they are in their early to mid twenties now.

They were teenagers in the 80s, right? Using the New Mutants as an indicator, I'd say "early to mid twenties" sounds about right.

The X-Men seem to be the most stable indicator of character ages in Comics except for Jubilee/Kitty Pryde who operate on a completely different age scale to everyone else depending on the writer.

I'm still bothered by Jubilee. She was about 15 or 16 when she first joined the X-Men, which made her roughly the same age as Wolfsbane. She then remained 16 when she joined Generation X, despite the fact that she should've been about 17. Then after GenX, she got her own solo series where she was only 15 years old. Again.

Kitty Pryde's age is always about right, but writers vary on how mature she should act. During Excalibur, the convenience of the UK's lower legal ages let Kitty get away with doing a lot of stuff that'd make you think she was over 21 despite still being a teen.
