Marvel's Cloak & Dagger coming to TV!

Hulk is one of two projects that are priorities at Marvel Television, Marvel Studio’s TV division, which has been operating under the radar since Jeph Loeb took the reins at the end of June. The second hot property is Cloak and Dagger, which is being developed as a possible show for ABC Family.

Both are in the early stages of development; Hulk has a “showrunner wanted” placard around its neck. ABC had no comment.

Meanwhile, Loeb is meeting with writers to hear ideas for Cloak and Dagger.

I'd love to see a Cloak and Dagger television show but I don't see it doing well. I'd say a season or less before cancelation.

I'm interested on where they will go with the characters.

The origin miniseries was terrific and a definite must read if you missed it. The various follow up series (I think there were about three) were uneven to put it mildly and had some really poorly conceived story lines.

I also wonder which villains they are even able to use for this project as their biggest name villain was probably Silvermane but wouldn't his rights be with Sony as a Spider-Man character?

Loeb also revealed that Cloak & Dagger will be set in post-Katrina New Orleans and center on “two teenagers who discover each other and find their powers both complement and complicate their lives.”

When I saw the headline for this, I thought it was based on Cloak & Dagger, the Dabney Coleman movie from the 80s. That was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. Captain Jack Flack!
