OMG HELL YEAH, 100% at RottenTomatoes!!! :woot: :woot: :woot: :trans: :trans: :trans:

What you Say now, Naysayers? :p

Keep up the Positive Reviews, Critics!!!!

Holy ****, I am also Reply # 777

LUCKY SIGN???

Too bad that particular line of Prime's doesn't really come out of a big lead up as it does originally. I'd rather have heard it in a final sequel.

As for the 'brothers' thing, I really do think - as it stands in the final film - that they mean 'comrades'. If they don't, then it's actually way too underplayed.

But I prefer it that way. Family relationships between vastly different robots seem out of place in a 'Transformers' film to me.

Oh... and Frenzy having sex with the computer? Hmmm... didn't think of that. Whatever he was doing, it suited the name. I was actually surprised, though. I didn't mind his character half as much as the rest of the Decepticons... though Starscream had the one single moment (with Megs) that I really loved.

OMG i saw TF yesterday! Straight after class i hopped on the train and went with a friend and yes we were really blown away. Not only is it IMO one of the best movies of the year but one of the best summer actions movies in the past few years probably up there with the likes of Terminator 2.It's awe inspiring...the effects, the action, the score, sound effects are just so mind blowing it doesn't even fit in the theater.

-Bay's style is the perfect match for TF
-The cinematography will make you dizzy
-The voice over work was excellent (Cullen and Weaving's voice rock the theater)
-Shia Labeouf shows good range as high school geek Sam really stealing the show with Prime and Bumblebee
-Megan Fox (:wow: :woot: )and that aussie chick give the movie the sex appeal it needs but theres more than meets the eye with these two.
-Anthony Anderson, the hispanic soldier and Bernie Mac were hilarious

Now the dialogue and acting wasn't alway great (he, this isn't Schindlers List and Megan Fox isn't Julia Roberts) but we got some really funny moments (lmao @ Aubtot peeing oil on the Sector 7 agent) and the action, drama (when Sector 7 took down Bumblebee in the storm drain that really touched me for some reason) makes up for that.At first i thought Makela was your typical pretty movie girl but surprising they gave her some depth

As a little kid i used to watch Transformers but i don't really categorize myself a fan even though i do know the basic names and premise. So when people in the audience actually cheered a few times when Prime says 'My name is Optimus Prime' to Sam and Makela and the introduction of the robots (that was so well done). I was in shock. This isn't normal in cinemas here - last time i experienced that was with one of the Star Wars prequels.I think everyone was completly into the movie. So no annoying mobile phones, no kids running up and down the stairs and thanklully no real distractions from people getting up every 5 seconds to got to the toilet.:hyper:

I think might be overreacting but i give this a ...aww what the heck...9 out of 10

P.S: I stink at writing reviews so sorry if it doesn't read well.:o

BTW i missed part of the credits ending. I had to rush to the toilet because i got sick towards the end. When i came back i did hear what happened though.:(

Oh and i forgot...the indian telephone guy was a riot and so were many of jokes such as Mrs.Witwicky suggesting that Sam was [BLACKOUT]*********ing[/BLACKOUT].:ninja: :woot:

Haven't seen the movie, but

Right now, Flawless score (100%) at RottenTomatoes, but who knows in a couple days will MORE bad reviews come, hopefully NOT. But 100% right now is sure a Good sign!

Whether it end up good or bad, I think this movie still has a lot of achievements that should be respected.

Achievement 1 - Groundbreaking Special Effects

What's there to say? Just look the Transformers they look SO good/Real!

Achievement 2 - Daring Stunts

A lot of actors in this Michael Bay movie Dedicated hard work & pretty dangerous stunts to make this movie look Real! Like shia up there standing in the very top of the building... that's scary!

Achivement 3 - Not Overusing CGI

Sure the Transformers may be CGI, but when they are in Car form, they are REAL cars. And, all those highway scenes, cars blown up, Military etc they are MORE Real sets than CGI/Bluescreen

Achivement 4 -Mind-blowing Action

The consensus from pretty much everybody is that this movie is Action PACKED with so much action that not many movies can match!!

Yet another great review!!!From Hollywood Reporter :D:D

Bottom Line: Sci-fi action that is both smart and funny

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr...PhgRlybWwFB1T1vWcpNcw0pG!2116095088&&rid=9431

"Transformers" is a wet dream for fanboys, with vehicles that whiz and whir into alien robots, spectacular sci-fi stunt chases, glistening military hardware, overheated computer software and brainy, hot girls who love Popular Mechanics. It's a Michael Bay movie based on a Hasbro line of toys that perfectly captures adolescent fascination with mechanical things you can take apart and put back together.

The movie is noisy fun, with characters and plot lines kept simple and flashes of comedy that hit home more often than not. Most importantly, the filmmakers have shrewdly selected their young cast. Shia LaBeouf is one of the hottest young actors on the planet at the moment, with the surprise hit thriller "Disturbia" and excellent lead vocal performance in the animated comedy "Surf's Up" already behind him this year. Megan Fox and Rachael Taylor add terrific sex appeal in roles designed to emphasize female capability and intelligence. And singer-actor Tyrese Gibson and Josh Duhamel are the smart-looking military dudes who take on the aliens at street level.

The movie's appeal definitely will expand beyond fanboys and sci-fi addicts to include older "kids" who grew up with the Transformers toys and comic books. DreamWorks and Paramount should be well-rewarded for their deep-pocketed faith in this potential franchise with a global hit.

This is not the first cinematic outing for the mechanical warriors. A 1986 animated movie was based on the original "Transformers"
television show, which was based, of course, on the popular multiform robot toy line. It didn't go over well at the boxoffice. (That tooner, incidentally, was set in 2005.) But now Bay and an army of visual designers have successfully re-imagined a photorealistic world in which these Titans can believably clash.

The best thing in the script by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman (from a story by Orci, Kurtzman and John Rogers) is how a teen plot line gets tied into the fate of the world. Young Sam Witwicky (LaBeouf), who's nerdy but funny and sort of cool, gets a mysterious car from his dad, a banged-up '76 Chevy Camaro that he only later discovers is an alien robot. Now that's a way to get a girl's attention!

That girl, with the arresting name of Mikaela (Fox), has been in school with him for years but never really noticed him. One day she accepts a ride from him and finds herself caught up in a war of the worlds. Seems an ancestor of Sam made a discovery in the Arctic Circle that prompts the bad guys -- sorry, robots -- to target Sam, who unknowingly holds the key to mankind's survival -- if he hasn't already sold it on eBay.

Two robotic races -- the evil Decepticons and the heroic Autobots -- hide out on Earth as cars, trucks, 18-wheeler tractors, Hummers, jets or even a boom box before grinding and expanding into their robotic essence. These are CGI-errific moments, courtesy of Industrial Light + Magic, that will have fanboys leaping from their seats. All these techno creatures have feelings and emotions, you understand, which leads to the film's most amusing moment, when Sam's Camaro performs wheelies after his girlfriend "insults" the car. Its radio also plays tunes that fit the mood.

The filmmakers create three other sets of characters: A group of computer hackers headed by Taylor and Anthony Anderson, who no less than the U.S. Secretary of Defense (Jon Voight) desperately appoints as his "advisers"; surviving military members of an alien attack on a U.S. base in the Middle East, led by Duhamel and Gibson, who somehow wind up duking it out with the aliens in downtown Los Angeles; and shadowy anti-alien agents led by John Turturro.

The snarl of action and story lines is sometimes awkward, but at least the audience can identify with characters wherever the robots choose to rumble. No faceless multitudes screaming and fleeing here as in the Godzilla movies of old.

Clearly, none of this would work if Bay had not adroitly coordinated the stunts, animation and characters, both real and mechanical. Thanks goes to a team of editors, who have made good sense of all the action. On the debit side, sound levels are all too high, and the score pushes harder than necessary.

While he has long been a master of mayhem, on this occasion Bay weds his visual dazzle to material that carries the action smoothly. This is an extravaganza rather than overwrought excess. As one young boy exclaims upon seeing his first robot, "This is 10 times cooler than 'Armageddon'!"

Good to see the Humor in the movie, that Critics LOVE :D

It had me worried!

Just saw it. Bay rocked it. Pretty big surprise. Flames on Optimus is the new flames not on Optimus.

this is weird but anyone else who saw the film, do u agree with me when i say Frenzy looked like he was having sex with the computers he supposidly was hacking? i mean every time the camera pans in on him for a split second, the noises and his mouth open and his head shaking looked like he was getting off it lol.

Heh, yeah.

He reminded me of a little robotic Stripe from Gremlins.. I'm surprised by how much I liked him. He was the one character I wasn't looking forward to.

You sure that's not wishful perception on your part? Unless they changed the script, it was VERY clear (for those that read it) that they meant SIBLINGS. At one point Ironhide says to Optimus "are you sure you'll be able to kill your own brother?" which is odd considering Optimus has probably killed many Decepticons in the war... it's not like the war started yesterday. The Megs/Prime "brother" thing comes up at least 3 or 4 times in the script. But, I don't think you ever hear Bumblebee call Barricade his brother.

Haven't seen the movie yet, so I dunno...

That line isn't in the film. I'm working on updating the novelization thread with what was changed/added/removed. Quite a bit, but enough of the story remains.

I would like to believe this however, I have my doubts about this considering that I've heard from multiple sources that Ironhide does not sound like Ironhide in the cartoon. How could Bay and Spielberg screw up my favorite character of the cartoons?:cmad:

The best thing you can do is forget about the cartoon for the most part when watching this film...if you can't do that then you should just skip it altogether.

I prefer the new voice to be honest.

Even though Cullen did the voice, it was too "rednecky" to work in this film, IMO.

But yeah, the voice cast was great.. I still would have liked to have heard Keith David voicing Barricade, but the film version was pretty sinister and robotic.

Oh really. Bay and Spielberg had no problem getting Optimus Prime to sound and look like him. Why was it so hard for them to do the same thing with Ironhide. There's simply no excuse for what happened to my favorite character. However, these changes won't prevent me from seeing the film next week. I'm just ticked off that the writers of this film have been saying for months that even though some characters will look drastically different their cartoon personalities will stay the same. This is clearly a lie.

Since you haven't seen the film, you can't make that claim.

Some of us have, and they've retained quite a bit. Ironhide is still Prime's right hand man. He's all business, and yes, he does deliver the 'leaking lubricants' line. He manages to give Ratchet a little gentle ribbing for the power line thing. He's heroic, and proves himself to be every bit of the weapons specialist he was in the original. He does take command and act in Prime's stead to lead everyone. etc, etc.

He makes a much better stand than the 1986 ever treated him.

In the cartoon Cullen did Prime and Ironhides voice...I'm sure they felt it would be silly if two characters sounded somewhat the same. You seem upset because you feel you are being lied to but you are going to see the film anyways? If a film didn't hold up to my standards I sure wouldn't spend my money to see it.

Quick question out of curiosity, are you seeing this one AM?

They didn't sound the same in the cartoon. Ironhide spoke with a southern draw in the G1 cartoon.

I won't pay to see it. I don't think it's gonna be a terrible movie, but it's not what I was hoping for in a Transformers live action movie. I feel it's silly to complain about the direction a film has headed and still pay money to go see the picture. It's like complaining about a President's way of running your country...voting him back into office...then being upset that nothing has changed. I know my "dollar vote" won't be missed much by the makers of this movie...but at least I know that I didn't contribute to this film being a success when I'm not happy with the product.

Either you're going to see it or not.

Yes...but he also sounded like Prime with a southern accent....I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm just stating how I think the moviemakers process was in making their decisions in this matter.

If this matter upsets you...it's possible you are going to be more upset when you see the final product.
