Batman: Mystery Of The Batwoman

Probably the more forgotten direct to video Batman film, there's still some stuff in here that works on rewatch like the goon walking in on Batman. The animation is the biggest downgrade compared to the others and it feels like an extended episode once again. Kathy Duquesne looks so much like Zoe Kravitz, it's crazy.

Also, it's got another banger featured in a Batman movie.

The last time I watched this had to have been at least 2004. Definitely underrated, if you ask me.

Wasn’t this not included in the TAS box set for some reason?

Son of Batman

This is one crazy movie I have fun watching. It's not well written, and I'm still not fond of Jason O'Mara as the voice of Batman, I'm not fond of any of the cast members chosen for their roles.

The amount of plot induced stupidity can fill a page so I'll spare you all that, instead I'll talk about arrows penetrating helicopters, a young boy trapping and gouging the eye of Deathstroke, and Flying Bat Ninja Clan.

TDK screening yesterday. What else can I say about this gem? Still my favourite CBM movie ever. It nailed every aspect of the Batman character for me, and it surprisingly still impacts afteter 14 years. Yeah, maybe it's not 'comic booky' enough visually, and I can see why some people prefer Begins or even Burtons. But I couldn't be happier with a sequel like this.

Batman Begins

The reboot/origin franchise movie that made an impact to Hollywood which is still felt to this day. Yeah it's under the shadow of the Dark Knight, but to me this always felt like the most "Batmany" Batman movie of the Nolan trilogy. While I love Zimmer's iconic TDK score, I always go back to his score in Batman Begins and it's so perfectly used in this. Katie Holmes was obviously the weak link on the performance side, but it never really bothered me. A lot of the shots in here are so perfectly well done and honestly, they don't get talked about enough.

What I always find unintentionally funny is Rachel Dawes saying "Things are worst than ever." and you got the guy in the press conference in TDK saying the same thing. Also not to mention that old lady who overheard Bruce Wayne saying "I watched you die" to the fake Ra's.

And I leave you here with one of the all time greatest tv spots.

I always heard people talk about the spot, but this is actually the first time i watched it...WTF?
Who came up with this spot...XD That is so completely wrong in terms of the tone the movie has. XD XD XD
Its so dumb, i cant stop watching it. XD XD

I can only imagine that Nickelback TV spot was aired specifically on The CW or something.

She's my favorite. "Am I pronouncing this right? Mister RAZZ Al Ghul?"

I think Nolan purposely has extras doing subconsciously funny stuff throughout his films, like these folks in the press conference scene:

Or the boat captain in TDK who says "We're still here...that means they haven't killed us yet either." I specifically remember criticizing that line when TDK came out on these boards and getting flamed for it for having the audacity to say an unkind word about the movie. Good times.

I remember a lot of people arguing about whether one of the guards on the prison boat was actually the Scarecrow in disguise. :funny: The extra they got looked so much like Cillian Murphy.

"He's flying on rooftops!"

"That's what I just ****ing said, Phil!"

Always my favorite part of Tankman.

And Tankman was trained by Batman voice actor Deidrich Bader himself.

I like that line, it feels like a natural conclusion for someone stressed in a tense situation like that to come up with.

Nah man. They ducked down. :o
:funny:

At least we see them duck, and the shattered windshield didn't break badly enough to pierce them.

My rewatch has been completely random.

BATMAN FOREVER
BATMAN & ROBIN
BATMAN BEGINS
BATMAN RETURNS

Some B:TAS episodes in between.

Mine too. I've only actually completed the Schumacher films and half of Batman 89 so far, with some animation scattered throughout. :funny:

I don't think I'm completing my rewatch in time. Guess it'll be more of a Batman month for me.
