The Same Old Wrestling Thread? It's Never Done That Before!

According to The Daily Mail in the UK, a mother has condemned her son's school's 'over the top' rules on hairstyles after her 12-year-old was put in isolation because he had a wrestling logo shaved into his head.

Aidan Fradley was barred from conventional lessons after he had the letters 'TNA' shaved into his hair ahead of a trip to London to watch Total Nonstop Action Wrestling at Wembley Arena.

His mother Sophie Turkentine, 33, had initially vowed to keep Aidan out of Ramsey Academy, in Halstead, Essex, until after half term, however, she has since reluctantly had the sides of her son's head shaved, and he has now returned to class.

"He went into school on Monday to literally get put straight into isolation," she said. "I’m absolutely fuming, which is why I went to pick him up. I don’t see how it affects anything he’s doing in school. It’s not like it’s outrageously blue or pink. It’s just three letters. I think it’s nice to be original."

The mother-of-five also claimed there was no consistency and she regularly sees girls with short skirts, wearing lots of jewellery and make-up. She added, "I knew the school would have something to say, but I didn’t think they’d be anything like they have. I think it’s really over the top."

Deputy headteacher Calum Leys said, "At the Ramsey Academy it is our aim for students to develop a sense of pride in their work, behaviour and dress. As part of this we consider uniform to be important and students are expected to be correctly dressed at all times. We are incredibly proud of our achievements in this regard over the last 18 months and we regularly receive praise from the community in relation to the improved conduct and appearance of our students. While we do not believe it is appropriate to comment upon individual students, the academy does have clear expectations regarding dress. One of these is extreme hairstyles, which will not be permitted. Our approach in this situation are, we believe, consistent with other secondary schools."

taking the schools side of this, you just have to look at that website to see that there is good chance that the school wont tolerate stuff like that.

They did the kid a favor. He would never be able to live down the shame of being that big a TNA fan.

That kid was done a solid. I'm with the school on this one.

Does Warrior have any friends at all from his WWF career?

According to him, Savage was the only guy he was close with. :(

Well this is certainly interesting.

Go onto WWE.com and look at the superstars.

There's Jack Swagger, there's John Cena and there's ...Cesaro. Just Cesaro.

Infact WWE have edited Cesaro's whole profile to remove the word "Antonio" suggesting this could be a permanent change. Given that Cesaro is seemingly on the fringe of a face turn in the near future, this could be Cesaro's new and updated change in the WWE universe.

Then on July 4th I will celebrate my freedom from such nonsense.

Then on July 4th I will celebrate my freedom from such nonsense.

I hear ya. TNA should change it's base of operations to London or something. They're the highest rated show on Spike and they actually draw live crowds in the UK so maybe they could be successful that way.

yeah TNA is probably the no1 wrestling show in South Africa as well...unfortunately.

The Lita video was dell done, despite Michael "Drunken Racist" Hayes featured.

Amy “Lita” Dumas has released the following statement after it was announced that she’ll be entering the WWE Hall of Fame this year:

“YO! Congrats to all of us! I heard you on social media, repping “LITA HOF 2014″ signs at shows, and hashtagging your little hearts out. Your voices were heard! What better place than Wrestlemania 30!

I was so proud watching my bestie enter the 2013 class in the Hall of Fame. I know how hard she had worked, I watched her develop as a wrestler, talent, and woman over the years. I know fans were excited to see our generation of women represented in the HOF.

Often in the same breath, I heard support from fans expressing their desire for me to join the ranks of my piers as well. I had hoped at some point I would, but didn’t realize it would be just around the corner.

I tend to have an expect the worse philosophy so I won’t be let down, which seems like a pessimistic outlook when I tend to be such a positive person. Maybe not pessimistic, maybe more self preservation.

So much goes into selecting each class and watching each person touches me in a slightly different way, although it is always a similar sense of joy for each person to be able to have that moment where they are able to reflect on their journey and the fans have an opportunity to show their support.

When I played with my band, The Luchagors, my guitar player, Shane, had this exact opposite approach. Every day was going to be “the best day ever” “the best show ever” “the best meal ever” Every event was about to be the best ever.

The thought of that ideology, while endearing, was SO annoying to me! It just clashed with my self preservation. This show at this BBQ joint 35 minutes south of Louisville, KY is NOT going to be the best ever, and that’s okay. But, just stop saying it is! Let’s just revel in the awkward, “fun”comfortable moment that we are all sharing. Not everyone can say they have played a show in a BBQ restaurant with the 97 year old owner hooked up to a respirator shoved in the corner in a wheelchair. Should I say hello? Maybe better to act like I don’t notice she’s there? I know, dedicate a song to her. I can’t make this sh** up, people.

I appreciate that not every day is the best day ever. At this point in my life, I can reflect on everything I’ve ever been through and know that I have learned, grown, and evolved from it. I can appreciate the good and the bad and derive an equal appreciation from each event.

For every weird Texas Chainsaw BBQ show, there was a run in at a TLC match at the Astrodome. For every full body cry I’ve had, I have had uncontrollable laughter.

So, here I am Class of 2014 Hall of Fame, the dumpster diving punk rock kid that was never supposed to make it, but with too much kid power to let anything get in my way, gearing up to give a speech and accept my position in front of the ultimate under dog of a city.

It seems kind of like the best thing ever-
xxx,
Amy”

A good editorial from Ewrestlingnews: http://www.ewrestlingnews.com/editorials/25575/wwe-stop-jobbing-out-your-secondary-champions

For some odd reason WWE has the idea that having their secondary champions meaning the Intercontinental or the United States Champion should lose to an average Joe.

Being champion means that you have to prestige over anybody else in the locker room. Unless you're a future Hall of Famer or present Hall of Famer, that means you should win most your matches.

If you look at the past champions Curtis Axle, Cody Rhodes, Antonio Cesaro, Miz, Kofi Kingston and so many more. They have been secondary champions and they have lost prestige being the champions due to losing or jobbing to lesser competition.

If you win the championship it seems like you lose more matches do you do when you're not the champion? That’s bit backwards, shouldn’t the champion win their matches instead of losing their matches?

You do not see guys like John Cena and Randy Orton
job out to guys like Ryback, Curtis Axel, Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger.

Just because Cena and Orton are in the title picture, what makes a difference between those guys losing a
match compare to a guy like Big E Langston who is your current Intercontinental Champion.

Granted they are the face of the company. Your secondary Champion should be the guy that is that next guy to be the face of the company.
Let's go back to the 1990s; 1980's and 2000's where the secondary championships actually meant something. Guys like Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, the Rock, Edge, Randy Orton and many others who have paved the way to get to the top of the WWE.

The Intercontinental used to be the work horse title not the jobbing title. You won that title then that means you were the next top guy. Even back in the 80's if you were the IC champion then you were what fans most remembered most when they were leaving the show.

Yes they would remember Hulk Hogan, but would enjoy the undercard guys more. That is what being intercontinental champion is all about in my opinion.

For some reason WWE thinks it's alright champions lose on a week two week bases. I strongly disagree with that logic. Your secondary champions are your future champions and they need to be treated like it. You have champions, mid-card guys and jobbers. There is a reason that there is a pecking order in wrestling.

In ending, WWE give respect to your secondary champions.

That right there is why no one cares about the secondary titles. If they actually put some importance back in them again, there's wouldn't be as many people clamoring for them to be unified.

Well this is certainly interesting.

I'm wondering how they will book him in his singles run. If wwe is throwing their support behind him and Reigns, I'm wondering how they will try to push them both.

I see Reigns getting the more typical Rumble/WM win, and Cesaro getting a transitional/test run at some point before really getting the keys to the kingdom.

I strongly disagree with WWE taking away his first name. Antonio Cesaro sounds cooler.

WWE is probably going for a wrestling machine thing with Cesaro and they think the one name thing sounds more badass. The Rugby gear will be gone soon methinks.

Does Cesaro still do the "double punching the air" thing anymore?

I will be honest I love what we have been seeing from Orton recently, his interaction with the fans has been great recently.
here is him busy ''laying a beat''
