Cody is one lucky guy

Others have pointed out several of this guy's crap already, but here's a couple things that I found ridiculous about his "points".

Critique: Wrestler “A” is such a better worker than wrestler “B,” but he doesn't get used as much.

Why it happens: There are wrestlers who can do 100 moves if given the time. Matches can move quickly with a lot of near falls. This has become lumped into a certain style known as the indy style. WWE only wants so much of this. If everyone on your show can work these type of matches, all of the sudden it doesn't mean anything.

WWE produces entertainment that happens to have a wrestling ring as its main stage. Emotion, facials and characters are what it's centered on. If guys are moving too fast, how do you stop and grab emotion? How do we get a camera shot of what someone is feeling? How do you sell a roster full of guys who all move at the same warp speed?

Here, he's clearly dancing right around the question. It was, "someone's a better worker", and he goes into, "they're wrestling indy style, aka too fast". Well, first of all, WWE is known for getting the indy guys they bring in to work more their style, with their original style mixed in. So that's clearly not a problem. Plus, we're seeing more and more of these "indy guys" getting over more with the crowd rather than their homegrown type of guys. Just look at the pops guys like Punk, Bryan, and now Cesaro are getting. Obviously, if it's still able to get over with the crowd, they don't have to slow down that much like he's claiming.

Critique: Wrestler “B” is used more only because he has a big body look. I'm so tired of WWE wanting only guys who have a bunch of muscles.

Why it happens: Remember, WWE books to the most casual person. They know they have the money of the addicts. They want to grab mainstream attention. They want someone new to tune in. If the casual viewer is flipping through the channels, you have to think about what is going to catch their eye and make them keep the channel on. This is specific right now to Batista. Like it or not, it makes sense from a WWE business standpoint. The addicts might not think anything of it because they consume wrestling daily on all mediums. To the average person, it's a unique and interesting sight. And of course, if someone like a Batista is going to be in a mainstream Hollywood movie, well, now he adds even more power to getting those people to stop on WWE programming.

Dancing around it again. Why does it "fall on Batista"? Only because the higher ups say so. Sorry, but there are a lot more people on the roster who have more eye-catching looks than Batista. Bryan, Punk, Shield, Wyatts, Lesner, Big E, Ziggler, hell, even Fandango and some of the divas have a more eye-catching look than Batista. He looks like nothing more than a generic big guy these days with the only thing that stands out about him are his giant back tat and his horrible taste in clothing and personal style.

And I guarantee you, of the five characters making up the Guardians movie roster, he will probably be the last one any one is talking about at first glance. First, there's no way in hell he'll be able to out top a smart-ass, bad-ass talking raccoon and his giant tree buddy, he won't be able to out snark Chris Pratt's Star Lord, and then there sexy green Zoe Saldana, which will always out rank any other green dude. Especially one that most who don't know who the character is will likely just look at him as a mini-Hulk in space.

Critique: WWE only cares about the kids. All the PG content and cheesy characters is annoying.

Why it happens: The money is in the kids. The parents will spend money on the kids. The kids want John Cena, who is the ultimate super hero to them. They want Rey Mysterio because he looks like a super hero, as does Sin Cara.
WWE catered to the kids in the 1980s when so much of the now addict generation of fans were kids. As that generation became teenagers, WWE catered to them with the Attitude Era. WWE got their growth and money out of those fans. They got them hooked for life. Now they are back to the kids and try to get those kids hooked for life.

And I just love how people like him miss all the kiddies out there doing the "Yes!" chant right along with the rest of the crowd, and they're usually the first ones to hop into it as well.

And seeing entire crowds doing stuff like that completely obliterate arguments like these by apologists and the company higher ups when they say that only the smark internet fans like guys like Bryan. So when the entire arena is doing the Yes chant, then that either means that the arena is completely filled with smarks, something that can't be possible with their logic because internet smarks are supposed to be such a small part of the fanbase that they don't matter, or the general audience is into the same stuff as us "smarks" and the higher ups have no idea what they're talking about anymore.

This would so be my grand entrance if I ever became a wrestler.

I kind of expect the Raw after Elimination Chamber for the WWE to begin promoting Batista's next movie.

Doesn't the Guardians of The Galaxy trailer debut Tuesday the 18th?

Yes. But I picked the Raw after Elimination Chamber because both Marvel and WWE need to be in talks about how to promote the movie. The WWE will probably want to promote it as Batista's movie only while Marvel may want to promote the film as an ensemble piece.

I hope they only show a split second of Batista in the trailer,I can just hear Cole telling the viewers "If you pause the trailer at the 1.06mim mark you will be able to see The Animal Batista".

I'm strongly debating not going to Raw on Monday, I'm really just discouraged with the whole thing right now.

It was gonna be my first Raw live I was really stoked to go at first, then all the Punk stuff happened…

Can someone please give me a little encouragement at this point? :D

Go and let your voice be heard. Try and get everyone in your section to chant CM Punk all night long.

And then they will go into detail on how to pause the trailer via WWE App.

Going to pick up Shawn Michaels' WM set. Slushy...is on his way!

Speaking of NJPW, does anyone else just get on a kick to where when you watch an NJPW match you feel like watching more? That's how I feel anytime I watch quality NJPW matches whether it's old stuff from the Inoki-Hogan-Flair days or the current Tanahashi-Okada-Devitt days.

I would agree, but I would probably be called a sheep and thus, turning into a Mini-Meltzer. :o

Scrolling through this page, all I can think is: Bravo, Cody!

Though one has to admit that the energy and presentation of NJPW is a whole lot of fun.

It has the presentation and big show feel of a mainstream show, but ACTUALLY delivers in the ring. Every single champion there feels important(every match has a pre-match promo package highlighting past champs) and the storytelling is done in the ring. Even some throwaway feuds feel big and have some sort of meaning to them. I mean, what more can you ask for?

- Here are the Blu-ray extras for WWE’s “WCW: Greatest Pay-Per-View Matches Vol. 1″ that comes out on March 11th, courtesy of WrestlingDVDNews.com:

Not only is the bonus disc weak, but as I mentioned previously, the main discs are full of matches that are featured on other sets. It's like the WWE dvd department isn't even trying anymore.
