The Saturn Return

you make of your life what you want

haha, I know . . . I was half-joking; although I do believe in astrology to a certain degree . . . I would never let it control my decisions, or let it worry me to the point where I dread the day I turn 28 . . .

point is, if you think life is gonna suck at 28-30; it will . . .

I read about it on wikipedia. It's a conflicting time dealing with change, confusion, hard lessons in life, enlightenment. And it occurs three times in your life: first, when you're 27-30, second, when you're 58-60 and third, when you're 86-88.

Here's the full story:

wikipedia is about the only place that you consider astrology a 'science'

Anyone ever heard of this?

When you are between 28 and 30, Saturn finally makes it back into your astrological sign at the point where it was the year you were born. For people who believe in this, it signifies a time of great change and upheaval. This is never a really great time for people but when it is over your life is not the same as it was before.

It's weird, but it fits my life so much.

When I was 28, I was working a middle management job, bored but ok with it, in a dying town that I had grown up in. Just as my Saturn Return began, I lost my son, and went into a deep depression for about a year, not really doing much at all to pull myself out of it. Both of my paternal grandparents died. I had no money. I was having family problems, boyfriend troubles, the works.

But as the Return was ending, I decided to move away and pursue the writing career I never even realized I wanted until then. I moved an hour and half away from my family (sounds like it isn't much until you understand that the rest of my family live within 10 minutes of each other), took piddling part time gigs, and began to do what I really wanted to do with my life. I am not rich and famous yet, but I am happy.

Anyone else gone through their Saturn Return? Anyone in the middle of it now?

actually according to my magic and ritual teacher, i had 2 quarters ago.. Saturns Return happens aprox every 7 years (give or take a few) so around the age of 7, 14, 21, 28, etc... som major event that is life defining.. usually depicted as something negative, because it's a change in your life, will happen.

around 7, my grandma died sending my mom into a down fall, 14 my dad got fired sending him into a downfall and i started realising i was a lil more then curious with guys.. 21 was my hell year... parents divorced, other grandma died, dealing with coming out with parents, changed my major... had my heart broken...

Your teacher is wrong according to every source I have read about this

shes got her masters in it...

it's "major" return does happen in your 20's but things do happen every 7 years..

and it's ment to put your life back on track

If it is called a SATURN RETURN, shouldn't it coincide with when SATURN RETURNS? Small events that happen every seven years or so shouldn't be considered SATURN RETURNS if their timing has nothing to do with SATURN RETURNING.

And, as ludicrious as this all is, I can't help but laugh that someone got their masters in Magic. That is the most awesome thing I have ever heard.

When the moon is in the seventh house
And Earth aligns with Mars
Then peace will rule the planet
And love will guide the stars

This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius! Age of Aquarius! :p
