I think that in this catagory you're a little too influenced by what they're doing with 'X-Men' now. Wolverine is a character people wanted to know about, however, Shredder is not that interesting. They gave us a little backstory in the original movie and I think that's really all it needs. There's nothing really interesting about Shredder's origin, except for maybe how he got the scar, which was explained in the movie. What you have to take under advisement before you plan on writing screenplays is to ask yourself: "What do people want to see?" or "What have they never seen, that they'd be interested in seeing now?"My first movie is going to be "feature length". It's an origin story of The Shredder from the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise set in present-day japan. Seeing as how I live in Ohio, people wonder how I'm going to pull it off. But I have some EXTREMELY good resources and will use them. I just can't decide on a title.
I could go the "Wolverine" route and call it TMNT Origins: The Shredder or call it, Enter The Shredder. Help please?
No problem, 'Nightwing'. It's good to know and see that you are very passionate about this character and the story you're attempting to tell. I apologize for questioning the story that you're obviously trying your best to bring to life and I only hope that drive can bring the project to life in the future. Good luck to you, sirI think you have me mistaken. I did NOT decide to do this movie only because the X-Men series is starting to release origin stories. I'm doing this because The Shredder has alway been a very interesting character to me and I feel there is more of his story to be told than what has been shown in previous movies.
My remark about the "Wolverine" movie was about the TITLE of the movie and NOT my reasoning for doing it. I am in no way basing this movie in any way shape or form on the new X-Men movie. Just asking what I should title it guys. I'm trying to not take offense. I know you're only trying to help but it's just a tad bit insulting.
A RIDICULOUS(sp?) amount of thought has been put into every aspect of this film. I know why I want to do it, I know what I want to say, and what I want the audience to feel. Answering questions like: "Why should the audience care?"
Thank you for your input but I just think you got the wrong idea. Which may have been my fault.
LOL whats the premise of some of your scripts and your current westerni've written a few. im sort of in the middle of writing a western right now. but then i realized that i have a beginning and end, but no middle. apparently scripts need middles.
Oh, and to answer the thread...I have written shorts...and was last in the middle of a feature length.
