The Screenwriting Thread

Yeah, with Celtx too. Because I put my tv pilot in there and it's was frustrating formating it correctly. But after awhile you get used to both.
Yeah i've gotten the hang of it now.

I just looked at the help button thingy to help me out.

Things seem to be going smoothy. I'm putting my first script on there. the suspense thriller one.

It's up to 29 pages and 16 scenes.

I am done completing my first script onto scriptbuddy.

It's about 150 pages and 64 scenes.

alot more pages then what i had in final draft. which was only 118 pages.

It's really that much bigger? Wow. Well, did you publish it? I could check it out when I get some time.

It was only 118 pages when i typed it on Final Draft. But when i put it onto the script buddy station thingy it became longer.

About the pulishing part. If i do this nobody can take it right? It says on the site

"All screenplays are copyrighted to their respective owners unless otherwise noted."

I'm just being secure and making sure nothing happens if i do put it on there.

What's the title? I'm interested in reading it.
I'm not sure what i wanna call it. The original title was The Stranger. But then that other movie the strangers came out.

I don't want no confussion so for right now the title's Strange obession.

I haven't put it on the site yet. I should soon.

I don't know all the legal elements that go into it, or how well the little copyright paragraph potects you. But you can only hope that someone loves your work so much that they actually try to steal it.

In other news, I found a great screenwriting forum and I recommend you all join. It's called screenwritinggoldmine.com. VISIT THE FORUM. I'm not kidding you should all check it out. It's just like this thread we have here only bigger.

If your feeling apprehensive about putting your script out there for the world to see, you can always register it with the WGA for some peace of mind. But, personally, I'm not that concerned for my work.

This isn't technically screenwriting but it's closely related. I was thinking about doing some scripts for a Batman comic book series. Hopefully finding a good artist to bring my work to life later on.

I was wondering if anyone here has done any comic book scripts? Or know any good sites that offers some good advise.

What i've done is register on script buddy with 3 diff email addresses and meaning i could have 3 diff scripts online there. smart huh?

Yeah, I'm registered there on two different e-mails.

Gentlemen, I was wondering if any of you had any quality short scripts written. I'm talking like possibly 5-6 pages. I attend film school and for the most part, all the films I've shot have been from scripts I've written but I want to try something different for a change. I want to direct something someone else has written and unfortunately I don't see much talent in the writing department where I attend school. I'm almost in my graduating quarter so I'm trying to get as much on my reel as I can until then. So I'm thinking about another 1-2 films within the next 6 months. If anyone here is willing, let me know. Thanks.

Hey i was wondering if anyone new screenwriters in the Portland area, I am writing a screenplay for a school project and was wondering if anyone new someone who could help me out.

Thanks alot!

I could help you out to the best of my ability if we talk via PMs. Just a thought.

I'm done with my horror scrupt. I'm just doing touch ups on stuff like fixing grammar and whatnot.
