Hasbro Transformers Panel

Hasbro has decided to continue the movie line into 08, called "Allspark Power" based on positive fan feedback. Some of the entries shown:

Landmine, deluxe, Sector 7's dune buggy.

Stockade, deluxe, S7's SUVs when they arrest Sam and Mikela.

Cliffjumper repainted from Bumblebee 08 - can't have Bumblebee without Cliffjumper.

Incinerator, voyager-class, an Osprey from the beginning of the film. Intentionally using one of Blackout's earlier concept names.

Blue power hue throughout bot forms signifies Allspark power.

First Strike Optimus, repainting voyager-class Optimus to pay homage to G1.

Evac, paying tribute to a coast guard chopper cut scene. Autobot remold of Blackout


Desert Attack Brawl, repaint, with autobot kill marks on side. Leader class.

Nightwatch Optimus Prime, repaint of the leader class. An opportunity to revisit the night scene in the movie as a concept.

Robot Heroes continues in 08, more BW and G1 heroes, then more movie heroes.



Fall 08: Classics? It's been asked about a lot. Classics brought in the concept of the realistic look which goes with the movie, so coming up will be "Transformers Universe", conceptually it is Classics 2.0.

- Sideswipe andSunstreaker, remolds of each other. The final models chests will look different due to a transformation scheme switchup.

- Octane: Triple-changer, military tanker, big prop cargo or fueling plane, and robot in Ultra pricepoint instead of deluxe.

Looking at a larger scale, they walked away from Ultra pricepoint ($25, a little larger than Voyager but sorta similar) a few years ago, but are looking to bring it back for Classics 2.0. About 8 new figures in the deluxe scale and 3 or 4 in Ultra. Looking to maybe add electronics.



Transformers Animated. The show is a reinterpretation, familiar but new. Toys are being put into cases RIGHT NOW! ActionFigs will have shots of the display very soon.

- Deluxe and Voyager Optimus Prime shown. Dlx has no trailer-type section, cybertronian truck front. Voyager is Earth mode.

- Deluxe Bumblebee and Voyager Bulkhead. They've taken extra care to match faces to cartoon.

- Deluxe Prowl & Ratchet. Prowl has a stoplight.

- Dlx Slag and Voyager Grimlock. Energy-infused melee weapons.

Paint have had a glossy finish in the past, but now adding mold finish to give a matte and satin finish with metallic paint on top.

- Voyager Megs and Starscream. Examples of how they look near the top of the show.

- Voyager Lugnet and Blitzwing. Blitzwing is a Triplechanger tank to plane to bot.

- Deluxe Lockdown, turns into a big muscle car. Their version of Boba Fett. Voiced by Lance Henricksen.


Rubsigns on the toys.

- Finally, Deluxe Blackarachania, and Soundwave, boxy SUV which comes with a guitar in bot mode that turns into Laserbeak.

And now I would like to go on a limb and say that I think they are blowing it already.....After seeing this line I might not get them all as I once planned....I'll get select few....form this line I'll get Aphrodite IX and that's about it.

Jesse said that Conan was going to be the main part of this thing and going through all of his different looks from his 30 year marvel run....I think that another Conan is too soon already, I also think that if this is the thrid lineup, then The Conan/Warrl two pack should have been put into the waves.......this line is only on its third wave and it's petering out......they do look awesome though

So I'm finally back in town and here are my thoughts:

FA Daredevil and the variant-Awesome, just awesome. These will probably be my favorite figs if they come out looking anything like the proto pics.

Fantastic Four BAF Wave-Sweet. I want them all with no regrets.

Spider-Man BAF Wave-Blah. Won't pick up any of them.

ML3-Looking forward to Black knight, hydra agent, FA Cap and Bucky. Curious to see what the hydra agent variant looks like. And they can keep their 500 limited Marvel Girl Variant. I don't want it.

ML4-FA DD is great like I already said. Glad to see Tigra is getting made. Black bolt is ok, I don't care to chase down the variant. Nova is descent as well. Don't care for astonishing beast, but at least they'll be done with the Astonishing stuff hopefully. That punisher camo version looks sweet, and so does the black shirt one. Don't care for the blue shirt one. And Holocaust looks like crap. I might trade my holocaust off unless I decide to wait and see if they come out with more AoA stuff. Which I don't care one way or the other for.

Black Queen TRU exclusive-I'll pick it up if I see it in the store, but don't really care to hunt it down hard and would never ebay it either. But a better variant than clear emma and silver wolverine.

WM ML exclusives-Hasbro gains points for me with the FA Marvel Girl. Smile is kind of dumb, but I'll get her for the FA shelf. And Domino and Cannonball look cool even though I would only get them in the store and wouldn't ebay them either.

Icons-I'll be getting those two daredevil icons. And that's it. I will never need another icon after getting those two.

DCSH-Clayface...can't wait.

DC Universe-looking good.

SF-already ordered the the next wave and that's all I'll ever need.
