Ok, let's face facts: the B.O. on this film will be huge, and there is bound to be a sequel. Here, discuss what you really wanna see or what you'd do differently about the characters in X-MO:W that you'd like to see come back. Have fun, be creative, and make sure it's the Wolverine we all know and love. If there's already a thread like this, close please.

I don't know if its going to be big at the Box Office but i know it will be enought to make a sequel out of it. But these are the people i want to see in a Wolverine Sequel: OMEGA RED!!!! DEATHSTRIKE and.... DEADPOOL!!!!!

it is estimated to make 82 million over the weekend it got 35million on Friday

Here is 1 thing i know get a different director no disrespect to Gavin but he should stick with his small films rendition was terrible so i knew this would too.Hugh Jackman said in a recent video interview the next film he wont be the producer said it was too much hard work to deal with.

Get Brian Singer for the japan story that is all i want because he knows wolverine and x men mythology way more than jackman. He gave x1 and x2 a serious feel about them and even the action was more down to earth and serious looking not cheesy like this film.Singer's action approach for x men might not have been the best but for a wolverine story it will diffidently be good.

It is one thing to say i wan to be more like an animal and another to show it which Hugh didn't do and being producer might of caused this conflict.

I hope it's just one sequel, and not a trilogy :(
We need more X-Men films and not these origin stories. But definitely would like seeing Omega Red on screen and he would fit nicely in a sequel of this film, but that sequel should really end at "X-Men's begging, as was stated about this film, but again we are let down with this cliffhanger.
It would be nice if Yuriko Oyama is introduced and the story to circle around her and her relationship with Wolverine, before her taking the Weapon X project. It would be nice if they established that story here... then all things that happen in X2 will be more tragic, where neither would remember and know one another while fighting in cold blood.
Also it would be cool if Sabertooth returns and starts mutating, becoming the beast and resembling more the creature we had in the X-Men. I'm very fond of Liev Shriber's Sabertooth and would like to see more of him. And Omega Red is a must!

Personally, I'd love to see Logan AFTER X3. It's safe to say he's settling down a bit after X-MO, because if he saw big **** happen, then he shouldn't have found Xavier and his team as a big joke like he did in X-1. Maybe send him back to Japan, having him become more at peace with himself and his nasty ways. Definite would like to Sabretooth come back with Weapon X and trying to take down Logan. Seeing Wolverine go up against Sabretooth again has to happen again, especially in what should be a longer movie. They shouldn't overstuff the movie with 90 mutants, only the ones essential to the story, like whatever members could be on that Weapon X team, or anyone Logan encounters in Japan. Who knows, maybe he could get his memories back...

I want to see...Wolverine: Madripoor! Wolverine as "Patch", co-owner of...The Princess Bar, teaming up with Karma one of the new mutants, the former Spider-Woman, Jessica Drew, and her friend Lindsey McCabe an actress in cheesy action films. I want to see Logan fight Roughhouse, Sabretooth, white slavers, mercs, The Grey Hulk aka Mr. Fixit. The third film would be...Wolverine: Japan! Meeting Lady Mariko, battling...The Silver Samurai and many Hand Ninja.

i say we have just one sequel! i would really like the story to be about lady deathstrike, i think that would be bad ass!

maybe they could include some Psylocke? idk it depends if she stays English or goes back to being Japanese in the comics... cuz if she stays in her English body in the comics they really shouldnt have her asian body in the movies.....it would confuse people

Part of me hopes this movie flops and Fox gives up the rights to the X-Men franchise, giving them back to Marvel who could make their own in house film version of the X-Men saga.

The X-Universe Brian Singer created has pretty much turned into a joke at this point. And it did it's job. It proved superhero films don't have to be campy and opened the floodgates for this genre. The last thing I want is another mess crafted by over-bearing studio execs who miss the entire point.

Either way, this will do good opening weekend but it will go the way of Watchmen as the rest of May belongs to Star Trek, Up and Terminator Salvation.

If this is the start to another trilogy then we aren't off to a very good start:o

God help us all! ...if we've got the next ten years to wait for a completion of a Wolverine trilogy and campy comedy children X-Men with Magneto on the horizon...
I also hope for a new start, and an epic one this time... like what Peter Jackson would have done, with a three-hours film of X-Men greatness... with great story-telling, photography, character developments, drama... all the aspects we need for a true X-Men epic. A sequel for that I would wait and want... and not for this parody what has become of a great Bryan Singer vision.

gambit. more gambit. he and wolvie were good together. i want to see more of that through out the whole movie

Silver Samurai is my choice villain if they go the Japan route (which it's extremely likely that they will).

That aside, writing the story for Wolverine 2 will be tough but liberating. Since they've firmly established his history, there's not all that much left to explore without it being too contrived. But...there's little intrigue left about the character. We know who he is, what he's about, where he came from, his powers, etc. All that's left is to let him get into some trouble and kick some ass. Sabretooth should be alluded to but not the focus. And Fred Dukes is still alive. Gambit would be nice but there are plenty of other mutants to explore especially if it's going to be somewhat of a road movie.

A streamlined, and fairly loose, adaptation of the Claremont-Miller miniseries and Uncanny 172-173, reworked to happen before Logan joins the X-Men. So Mariko, Silver Samurai, The Hand, etc.

Madripoor as a location, more Sabretooth* (especially showing him becoming more feral, though Logan technically shouldn't be around for that), would also be very welcome, necessary even, but not necessarily packed into the same film.

*I'm all for a post-X3 sequel with Liev as something of the X1 Sabretooth, maybe regaining some of his humanity and looking less like a goofy mountain man)

I'd love to see an adapation of the classic Claremont and Miller mini-series as well as some other stuff incoprorated in with maybe a cameo or 2...or 3, etc, by other mutants.

I agree with this, IF they're going to do the Japan storyline.

If they make a sequel, I hope they actually get a good script and a director that knows something about comic books. Or actually cares about staying faithful to the comic books.

If it has to be made I hope it's GOOD. I'm not getting my hopes up though.

lol at the fact that people will say it will be a sequel of a prequel

Why ask for mediocrity? Screw Singer. Replace everyone on the production side. Have a good script. Keep Jackman, Reynolds and Kitsch.

Silver Samurai is the way to go, since he is in Japan.
Omega Red would be awesome, too. And a formed Deadpool would be really nice.

I agree that would be a GREAT selection of characters for the next movie.

I also agree with replacing the production team, get some people that know comic books and have experience making these type of movies, and we might have a great Wolverine movie.

Trying to give the damn thing a title will be awkward, seeing as it'll be the amalgamation of two franchises

X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2: Wolvie Does Japn

It'll be a mess

It'll probably just be Wolverine 2.

Title consistency has never mattered for the X-Franchise.

X-Men
X2: X-Men United
X-Men: The Last Stand
X-Men Origins: Wolverine

You know it's kind of strange how different all the titles of the x-men movies are...x-men...then x2:x-men united, hten X-men: the last stand, then x-men origins: wolverine? Is there going to be any consistency with these movie titles? The next one will probably be wolverine 2...which would also be different then all the other titles.
