James Patterson Reviving 30s-Era Crimefighter ‘The Shadow’ For New Novels, Films

I am not sure how I feel about this, I loved the Shadow/Doc Savage crossovers by Will Murray and I am sure this will be the end of those.

Interesting. Patterson seems like an author who could make the character more appealing to modern audiences. Though if film adaptations are on the works, I think a TV series is a better way to go than another movie. Amazon and HBO have both done some stellar period work with shows like Mrs. Maisel and Perry Mason. The Shadow could fit right in there and find a new audience. Or, better yet, adapt that Masks comic book series and bring in other characters of that era like the Spider and the Green Hornet.
