The movie was very funny but it was not that great. I'd take any old school Simpsons episode over this any day of the week.

It was a little too cartoony. Yes, yes, it is a cartoon but if you know the old episodes you know what I mean. It was a show that happened to be a cartoon and not the other way around.

I give it a 7/10. I may have to watch this again.

Just got back from this a while ago...a great time at the movies. Seriously, what a crowd-pleasing movie. It seemed like everyone in my theater loved it, and clapped and cheered like crazy when it ended. There were so many funny parts I don't even remember my favorites but the SOP sign bit had me laughing for like 10 minutes.

Ditto. I saw it twice today and both times, the audience was TOTALLY into the movie. Without question the BEST movie going experiences i've had since X2 back in 03'.

One of the things I just LOVED about the movie was how they took advantage of the PG-13 rating and had the family do things they could NEVER get away with on tv...such as having Homer flip everyone off (my favorite part), show Otto using a bong, and of course Bart's doodle shot...even Marge's "will someone throw the g*ddamn bomb!" got everyone into hysterics.

So yeah, the movies plot didn't push any boundaries and was classic Simpsons with Homer screwing up, realizing the error of his ways and eventually saving the day...what's wrong with that?


Overall...a solid 9.5/10 t:

I thought it was great, and it's made me want to go buy all the old simspons episodes on DVD. While I wasn't howling with laughter, I was laughing all the way though, it was just joke after joke after joke, I can't even really remember most of them becuause there where that many.

After the lake spouts " Evil " to homer, he jumps into the back of the car.

Good Movie...Wouldn't say it was the best movie ever made but I REALLY REALLY wanna see this again.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and the cinema was laughing out loud which is a great sign.

loved it, every minute.

I was laughing throughout, or at least had a smile on my face throughout, and the crowd was awesome as well. It just felt good lol.

My only teency tiny complaint is I wish some background characters had a little more exposure than they did. Were Skinner and Ms. Krabappel even in it other than the first scene? I also was hoping the two aliens would make an appearance (can't think of their names), but it was still an awesome movie. I was especially happy Lindsey Naegle got some screentime. She may be a random character to love, but for some reason I just can't get enough of her.

I can't even remember when I laughed the hardest, but I do remember laughing so hard that I didn't even hear certain jokes. The audience loved it as well. Definitely one of my favorite movies this year.

So many favorite parts in this movie...there was NEVER a dull moment.

Favs off the bat:

-Homer staring into Spider-pigs eyes, "Maybe we should kiss to break the tension."
-FOX "Yes, we advertise during movies now"
-Green Day's Titanic spoof
-Homer's "Drive, drive, drive!" after dumping the pig crap in the lake.
-The ENTIRE mob scene
-Flanders and Barts fishing scene when Bart goes into strangling mode.
-Homer and the big boob lady dancing.

And many more...

Oh and did anyone elses crowd get up in arms at the "To be continued" scene...LOL.

I heard, "Oh hell no!" and "Refund!" "What?!" "No!" and alot of gasps...

Then laughter and relief when it said, "Immediately."

The film was okay I was expecting something grandeur to warrant a Simpson feature film but it had it's moments, my audience was mostly kids laughing at every scene.
