god I hate April Fool's...

 

Actually, it's not a joke. Several users from several other sites have confirmed that a teaser is attached to Ice Age 2.

I just have a hard time believing that a Teaser for a Movie THIS BIG something sooooooooo many People has been wanting would not get Online first.

 

The article is dated March 31st, which is too early for April Fool's. And besides, that wouldn't be IGN's style, since when they do a prank it's pretty obvious (like the Ecks vs. Sever collectors' edition director's cut). Everyone knows a Simpsons movie is going to happen, so doing a trailer report as a prank would basically be like shouting "Fire!" and causing a panick, then falling back on "it was April Fools', you should have known better!" when you get busted by the cops.

 

this si TRUE- it has a superhero esque "s" and climatic voiceover, then we dsee the "s" isnt superman-its simpson-homer simpson. then it says july 27th, 2007.

Just got back from Ice Age 2
Saw the teaser. Wow that was a shock!

They make it look like Superman Returns and then its homer wearing a supes t shirt on the couch with a beer.

Then it says The Simpsons movie coming 2007 and he says..."i better get moving."

Certainly wasnt expecting that.

Well, Simpsons is supposed to have a big announcement on Sunday. Most likely it'll be the teaser thats with Ice Age. Check out the coming soon boards, there's talk about ti over there too and on some Simpsons fan sites now too.

 

P.S. The audience reaciton to the teaser was great. Even though the teaser is nothing but Homer on the couch with a Supes shirt on.

 

My little brother is going to see Ice Age this weekend. I told him there would be a really good trailer attached with it. He doesn't know it's the Simpsons though, he thinks it's for Superman. I'll wait until it's online to see it. I have no desire to see Ice Age.

 

If this is true, I wonder how the animation is.

 

I'm guessing it'll just be a lot smoother, although the newer episodes have been animated pretty well. Maybe even some CGI Futurama style.

There have been counless sites and posters who have been saying that it is true. Either it is, or it's a very elaborate and wide-scale prank.

 

if this is true, i really hope that they bring back some of the old writers in
