anyone going to be checking this out? i just started watching this show like a month ago and i just finished the 6th season this weekend but anyways regarding it being on A&E i think itll be cool that its finally on basic cable but itll just suck since itll be cut to hell

The problem with TV in the states is how immature the audiances are treated. The Sapronos will be cut to **it for no reason. When it's braodcast in Canada on CTV (the Canadian equivalent of CBS or NBC nothing is cut out. The network allows the viewer to decide. Keep in mind though that when the Janet Jackson thing occured in the Superbowl the FCC was swamped with complaints while the Canadian equivalent, the CRTC didn't get any complaints. Its just sad that vocal minorities have such a stranngle hold over what the US networks can broadcast. Anyways that my political rant for the night. Its great though that the Sapronos Lite will be on A&E

Heh, it will be more like this.

Seriously.

I'll stick to my DVDs of it. Rob hit the nail on the head.

The CRTC has pretty clear R rated after 10 (local time) is OK rules. CTV also shows nip/tuck uncut as well.

One funny thing about 'bleeping' was when The Osbournes first played in Canada on CTV. Nothing was bleeped out and for some reason it didn't seem as funny to me as it did on MTV. The bleeps sort of became part of the comedy and hearing the actual words took away that comedic element in a way!

Being Canadian rocks!

I'm gonna watch it to get a taste for it, to see if it catches my interest. If it does, then I'll just buy the box sets and watch it in it's full uncut glory.

It was pretty good, even if it was watered down a little. I'm not sure how much they cut out since I've never seen the show on HBO, but replacing the f-bombs and such with other words didn't really distract from the show. I'm just surprised they didn't go for a TV MA like the Shield or South Park get.

damn BET, for rapeing THE WIRE the same way.
