One of the most anticipated new films of the year is Frank Miller's movie adaptation of Will Eisner's comic strip The Spirit, opening Christmas Day. The snowfall is a graphic theme in The Spirit, and creates a visual atmosphere that oozes drama. Therefore, it was not hard to imagine a snow globe that would capture and reproduce the effect. Crafting the miniature environment was a technical challenge for Dark Horse and sculptors Kolby Jukes and Oluf Hartvigson, but the result is a unique collectible that is fascinating.

He's up there on the roof. Look real closely and you might be able to spot him.

Well...then what's the point?

I don't want a snow globe of a frigging billboard.

Well...then don't buy it.

I like it a lot. I like the abstract German expressionistic look of the building in particular. "Will Eisner was an early master of the German expressionist approach in comic books - the Friz Lang school," Jules Feiffer once wrote of Eisner.

That sums up how much of Eisner's character appears in this film precisely.

With all do respect to your psychic abilities I'll judge that for myself in December after I've seen this film.

Glad you're finally getting honest. :cwink:

There's a backhanded compliment if I ever saw one.
