Pretty big week again. It's about time Superman Secret Origin # 6 has come out. I almost freakin' forgot about that thing! I will also be picking up Spider-Girl The End. I have most of the Spider-Girl run and while a lot of the latest storylines weren't up to standard I gotta be there for The End.

I can almost guarentee that I won't buy either Curse of Mutants oneshot but I'll at least thumb through them. I'll likely not buy Shadowland: Moon Knight either, but again, I'll thumb through it. X-Factor I'm still debating on dropping but I'll likely get this arc a fair chance. Astonishing X-Men has been dead for a year or more. I never did pick up the previous issue and unless something in this issue strikes me I might just consider the book dropped.

As for the rest, pretty lackluster week. Green Arrow and Secret Warriors has me excited but the rest are just kinda here. Hopefully I'll enjoy them, but we'll see.

What once would have been a below average week (under $20 of comics) is now an above average week ($22), at least in terms of the wallet. This is why the direct market is collapsing into a slow and steady oblivion, kids.

Is it sad that FF is the only Marvel title of this list that is $2.99?

A little. But considering that the FF is one of my favorite Marvel titles, I'll try and be happy about it while it lasts. It kills my soul a bit that FF or titles like Atlas languish sales wise or are canceled, while s**t like Hulk with its painfully embarrassing character Red Hulk do well. But its the world we live in, where Scott Pilgrim doesn't do a great job at the BO, but a flick about cats and dogs with human-level intelligence will probably dominate. Overall, yeah its sad and it sucks that Marvel is run by a bunch of greedy schmucks either intent on or unaware that they are harming the industry as a whole.

I'm going to take a guess and say they're doing the same thing with Daredevil as they did with X-Force. Both sold well but are being canceled. Note that the new title, Uncanny X-Force is a shiny new number one, but now also with a spiffy ongoing $4 price tag. My prediction... a Daredevil: The Man Without Fear ongoing with an ongoing $4 price tag.


Side note... realizing that this is the last Morrison issue of the Batman title, it'll also be my last. It's a good jumping off point and I need to drop crap. Thus, this is dropped. I'm also dropping Batgirl. Both of these to make way for Batman Inc. and Batman: The Dark Knight. Though, I am seriously considering saying screw it and just dropping Batman & Robin and not bothering with the rest of the Batman line at all.
