Age of Ultron The Steve Rogers/Captain America Thread

One would hope so, but the chances are that it probably will happen in either one of the upcoming trailers or tv spots pre-release of the film.

Yep Marvel, under Disney especially does seem to release a lot of stuff.

I kind of get it for TWS and GoTG they wanted to show how awesome both films were, when probably a lot of people weren't massively impressed by TFA or Cap in A1 and obviously not many had heard of the Guardians.

But for this they really don't need to show that much, 6 or so months out and we have an awesome teaser which doesn't really show much plot, but then a 1 minute cut up clip, and then another 1 minute scene (albeit that was leaked).

I can only hope that we don't have thing like clip#6 and tv spot#14 like we got for the previous films. Cos whilst I could try and avoid it, i'm pretty sure i'd fail.

lol that would be something if they showed that many spots for the movie once we get closer to the release date. I just know I will fail dramatically trying to avoid them :(

I hope Cap's leader of the Avengers this time around.

He was last time. He should be. It would be a travesty if he is not. Plus there is speculation that he will be leading a new team of Avengers in Avengers 3. That is one very important thing that Whedon got right in the first movie.

I'm aware of the hand you're talking about. He's not holding anything, he's just clenching his fist, as you do.

Yes. Yes, he *is* holding a white ball. With black markings/scuff marks. You need some better resolution or higher def.

I love the fact that Kevin Feige said that Tony Stark is paying/funding the Avengers and Cap is running/leading the team. It really makes it feel like THE AVENGERS now, not just SHIELD helping them out too.

I enjoyed the first film when he gave the team their orders, he took command and they all followed.

Hard not to laugh at him when he is dressing like that, though.
This time he will look like the badass leader he is.

LOL xD

On another note, I didn't quite like Captain America in the Avengers movie very much. I know Stark set him off, but still Steve came off kind of snobbish and self-righteous - kind of "holier-than-thou" to me. Then I watched The First Avenger and TWS and I found myself liking the character a lot better. He seemed a lot more empathetic and genuine. Hopefully in AoU, he'll be more like he is in his solo movies, and less like in the first Avengers.

I liked the Avengers suit, I just wished they left the ears exposed on the cowl like they are seen in the promotional photos and even the concept art.

That is awesome! even though I'm one of the few that liked the Avengers suit..

Design elements were there for TA suit but the materials they used were nothing like what the promotional art showed, which made the suit look cheap/flimsy.

The Avengers uniforms looks so much better with exposed ears.

It's not just the ears it's material. It's easier to draw than to make a flexible but tight fighting cowl/helmet that doesn't squish your actors face (and give him migraines which it did) and looks right. The drawings also benefit from darker blues.

I kind of wish that they would have gone with this design for his his Age of Ultron suit. It would have been a good compromise between his Avengers and Winter Soldier Get-up.

Well in the movie he's still dealing with the fact that it's no longer the 40's. He hasn't put down any kind of foundation. He hasn't gotten back into the world. What really threw him off was that Stark basically made fun of is plight. All he knows about Star is honestly what he sees. Same goes for Banner. This is why everyone shuts up when Banner talks about having tried to kill himself. Everyone realizes they don't know squat about each other.

Good point. I always wondered why he acted like such a dick around Stark. I thought part of it was they were all being influenced by the tesseract. But Steve thought Stark was a real dick, so I guess that makes sense. And that Stark wasn't a team player.

I have a 4k monitor. There is nothing in his hand. At all. Maybe you're the one who needs to watch it in better quality?

I agree but luckily the AoU suit is pretty good too.

The concept art looks much better than the real thing in every case. lol. Whats up with that? :p
And yeah the exposed ears definitely add a lot to the look. I love it. I only wish they would've done that sooner.

Which is why I think people are getting a little over excited about Black Panthers concept art, these things always look better drawn.
