Iron Man The Suit!!!!! [Mark III-Red and Gold Awesomeness]

actually forget what i said in my last post. they can make anything work on screen! just make colossus's pants into more of a shorts thing.

it can be done, easily! you can do anything with movies, and there fore almost anything if done right will work

I know this is your area of expertise so i have a question, when i looked at it, due in particular to the background,i thought it was a rendering of the cGI model of the suit, are you saying that is the suit with RDJ in it ?
It's probably a stuntman. Like the old shots of Batman against a white background, this was probably a studio photoshoot. They drop in a background via photoshop and touch up the photo, then send it off to the magazine. Shots from such a photoshoot might wind up on product packaging, posters, and so on.

I see, thanks,it was the BG that made me question it,it does look absolutely fantastic IMO and the new leg details really improve on the Granov design IMO

Is now allowed to post this, so we can make comparisons?

I still think its CG. It looks too "perfect". At minimum lots of Photoshop. But I still think its a rendering. RDJ's proportions dont seem to quite match what I see in the suit. The arms seem thin even for RDJ to be underneath. Another colleague at Digital Domain thought from this image it was a rendering also.
It also seems to match the pose of the illustrations from a way back too...

I would like to see a bigger image before I say its CG....

absolutely perfect, so far the director has been hitting the nail on the head everytime, I just hope he keeps it up to the end.

That looks fantastic. But I can't help but wonder if it'll look awkward in movement.

I certainly cannot imagine that it could look any better, so yeah... I'm voting for perfect.

That armor is just awesome looking. I'm extremely impressed. This movie is gonna be great.

Best superhero costume ever.

Flawless.

Marvel should hire Stan Winston for every upcoming movie (especially Avengers). The man and his team are the best out there. Nobody comes close.

perfect.

even as a huge Webhead i can say this, once seen in motion, might top the Spider-Man movie design.

okay, that does it. I'm going to start a line for this movie right now!

Dear lord...All I can say is WOW.

Winston is a God among men :yay::up:

Suit looks great.

(In Borat voice) I LIKE!!

I can't wait for a real pic now. That is, not a design pic.

I am guessing that the Mark II will be a refined version of the Mark I as the Mark I was ment to have been built on the fly kinda while imprissoned, so I guess he would tune it up w bit when he get's home.

This suit is easily up there with Spider-Man as being the most faithful adaptation to film yet.

Anyone else find it interesting that this was released with EXACTLY a year to go until opening.
