AWESOME!!!!! I agree with whomever said it was the most faithful representation since the Spider-man suite; I'd even say that, with the Iron Man suit, they made it better then the comic book original! (Now, they only have to anounce that they'll have either the original Iron Man song by Black Sabbath or a good remake of it and I am going to have a non-stop ***** until May 2nd 2008! lol!)

... Could someone show this to Micheal Bay and Dreamworks so that they know what "... elevating the original source material..." actually means!

There was no way I expected we'd get a look at the red and gold this early! That is one of the sweetest things I have ever seen! Can we get a larger hi-res?

To be fair, Iron Man never had to transform into a different vehicle before. So I think we should cut Bay & co. some slack.

Wow, the suit impresses me big time. It's funny that when X1 was coming out and they gave the excuse that costumes would look dorky and turn ppl off, that I bought it. Then Spiderman came out and the almost perfect comic costume worked great. Now this one is just another nail in the coffin that newer superhero movies can work with costumes.

Anyway great costume, I wonder what it'll look like in motion. Like others have said though, I hope it doesn't look too CGI.

I've noticed some people have expressed concern saying "Well it looks good but let's see how it moves" and "I hope it doesn't move like Robocop."

The thing is, it shouldn't move like a normal person either, that wouldn't make sense.
The suit should be somewhat restrictive because it is a suit of armor.
I think it should be a nice balance between sharp robotic movement and normal human movement.

As for the look of the suit, it doesn't get better than this.
It looks perfect. A truly unbelievably perfect comicbook to reality translation.

Now, for future Ironman movies, I imagine Tony Stark having an arsenal of suits to choose from with the Ultimate Ironman suit being introduced in a much much later sequel. The Ultimate suit is pretty damn cool, too.

MAN I 've been yelling this from the ever freakin' web page message boards I can find for 7 years now!!!!

HOW IN THE HELL CAN THEY GET A VERY CLOSE TO THE COMIC LOOKING IRON MAN SUIT....ONE OF THE MOST DIFFICULT SUITS TO CREATE EVEN IN THE COMICS ...AND YET WE GOT THOSE CHEAP RUBBER BLACK BATMAN- KNOCK OFFS WANNABES FOR THE X-MEN?????
