I don't think that picture represents the coloring of the suit. In the behind the scenes material the suit has a metallic gold and crimson coloring to it. I think the lighting is what is creating the muted, nonmetallic colors.

It may just be me but doesn't it look like his lower back is gold? I only ask because the abdomen is red in the Mark III photo and I think it'd be kind of odd for the same part of the suit to be red on one side and gold on the other. Don't get me wrong cause I like the suit I'm just wondering if there is a chance I'm going blind.

WOW!!!! I cant believe how faithful to the comics, but at the same time, still looks real, all of the pics seem to illustrate the suit being!! I so wish these guys could have been doing Transformers.

I've also chatted with DC fans and to a person they are very impressed with the armor, most saying its the most faithful translation of a comic2film costum they have ever seen and that say's alot with how good Spider man and Batman's costums have looked.

I think it's just the way the light hits it at certain angles. If you watch the video clip, towards the end you can see it reflects gold in certain spots that are really red.
