How come Joe Carahan gets to see all the great trailers first? He must be really well loved in Hollywood

Is the suit really gonna look like this in the movie?

Yep, and also he has great connections, otherwise he wouldn't become who he is now

He makes great movies as well, so I assume he has the respect of his fellow directors.

This movie will be the sleeper hit of '08 just watch and see. I've always thought the coolest comic book characters you could see on the bigscreen would be the hulk, spiderman, & iron man just because of what they can do. His suit is like a walking armory with all kinds of crazy gizmos and gadgets. Man...TDK, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, next year can't come fast enough

i know that. but Marvel can select which company they work with since they started the X-men movies. DC has to work with WB, like it or not. they dont have the leverage Marvel has when it comes to controlling their franchises.

Actually DC does not have an exclusive deal with WB. It's just that they're tight, for obvious reasons.

DC and Warner just have it lucky. Makes it more interesting for Marvel and dealing with the deals.

Who's producing Iron Man studio-wise?

The words Sleeper Hit and Comic Book Movie don't even co exist any more

Films like 300 and Ghost Rider, have proven that with a half decent marketing scheme and the Marvel or Frank Miller stamp attached, you are guaranteed a hit

They didn't prove anything. Was Sin City a hit? No, it was a moderate success.
And what about Elektra?

Sin City was the film that introduced the mainstream world to Frank Miller, anything following it with his name attached would provide enough information for audiences to identify whether or not they would like it. They didn't market 300 with 'From Sin City graphic novelist Frank Miller' for sh-ts and giggles did they.

Elektra was coming off the name of Daredevil, which was one of Marvel's first films, also not making a huge box office draw.

So both your examples are moot, good game.
