Scooper 'lordnazgul' alerted us that The Dark Knight crews are back in Chicago. A bunch of trailers showed up again at the post office. The city of Chicago is also doing a press conference for The Dark Knight today, so stay tuned for info from that! Here's a photo from 'lordnazgul':

Pics (courtesy of Josh) of set construction at the Navy Pier in Chicago, spotted via Batmanmovienews.

Then we walked around the city a little bit and made our way to Navy Pier. This journey was also a disaster since we got lost and ran into road blocks about half a dozen times. We tried to just follow the coast to the Pier, but that definitely didn’t work out at all. On our many detours however, we saw these people building something by the water. Brandon was wearing a Batman shirt and one of the guys came up to us, and he said, “Nice shirt, you guys like Batman?” We all said yeah, and then he said, “Well we’re building part of the set for Batman 2”. We were all in shock, and we started taking pictures of the set.

So now the five of us decided that we’re all gonna get together and see it when it comes out, which probably won’t be for a while if they’re still building the set. But yeah, that was really cool.

Cardington, Bedford (UK) pics....

You need binoculars to look from the road as it is private property, but you can now see Batman & Willy Wonka vehicles outside shed No 2 at Cardington.

Cardington Hanger at Sunrise

The Cardington airship hangers dominate the north Bedfordshire skyline. There are two hangers, built in the 1917 and the ill fated Airship R101 was built there in 1929.

More recently the hanger shown here has been used to film Batman Begins,where an impressive cityscape was built, even with it own atmosphere — you can get clouds in there!

The hangars are around 800' long, 500' wide and 200' high. The doors at one end of the hangar are so large it takes 20 minutes to open them.

The hangers are also being used for the next Batman movie.

Batman stole my parking spot.
They were shooting the next Batman movie next to my office. You can't see it but that license plate actually says "Gotham" where it should say "Illinois." I couldn't get closer because there was police tape blocking access to the Batman cars. The taxi also says Gotham Taxi on it. Gotham's taxi fares are more expensive than Chicago's.
