Transformers The Theatical Trailer Thread

They've said that they'll release the Theatrical trailer at the end of this April/start of May....

Spidey 3 is out may 4 (i think) It's one of the major movies out this summer which makes it the prime candidate to have the trailer attached to it.

If the blurb is correct this is quite an intense movie.... is it suitable to have a theatrical trailer next to a animated movie that attracts young kids?

(I've not worded that brilliantly but i hope you see what i mean)

Sure, Dr. Lee, it's done all the time. As long as the preview is suitable.

Night at the Museum was rated PG but we had the Fantastic Four trailer on it...TMNT was rated PG, but had a Spider-Man trailer on it.

If it appears on Shrek and not Spider-Man, it might not be attached to all prints. I would assume that if it was going to be put on Spider-Man 3, we would've heard more about it by now. Also, "they" sometimes get the information out there, but delays do happen, so just because they said April/start of May, you should know that "they" are sometimes wrong.

I'm not counting it out, but from my eyes, Shrek the Third will be just as big of a summer movie as the rest of them. I mean, Shrek 2 made over 440 million dollars DOMESTIC. Even if they put it on Shrek 2, there's still a great chance that it'll be put on POTC3 and F4rotSS, so they'll have plenty of opportunities to get the trailer out on the big screen, so I wouldn't be surprised if we had to wait longer.

I think they are going to attach it to Shrek 3, at worst - with POTC3.

That would be pretty bizzare for Paramount to release the trailer in late May with only 5 to 6 weeks before the movie is release. For a movie with this much blockbuster potential I expected the full length trailer to come out at least 2 and a half months before the movie release date. Not releasing it with Spiderman 3 could be a big mistake.

TF already had a theatrical trailer.
so this will be the second trailer.

Ok with the release Spidey 3 less than a week out, we should undoubtably know something by now, i mean this is the internet ; the information highway. If a trailer is going to be attached to SM3 then i'm sure we'd know about it by now and i think prints of SM3 are already being sent out to the
countries movies theatres with the attached trailers.

I hope i'm wrong but it doesn't look good.

I think the trailer isn't finished yet. That's the only explaination I can come up with for why Paramount would lose this great opportunity to show the trailer with spiderman 3 or POTC3. Releasing it with Shrek 3 will be a mistake because that movie won't have the audience of the previous films. I don't know anyone personally who is excited to see that film.

Yeah they could just tell us this week or may very well be a surprise. IMO it's not too late to anounce that the trailer will be attached to SM3.

I don't think there's anyway in gods green earth they can hide the trailer from the internet all the way up to May 4th.

Like i said before, prints of Spiderman 3 are already going out to movie theaters around the country. With those prints, are trailers attached to them. Once the copies get to the theaters you have ppl checking to make sure the copies are fine. Some over zealous geek working there will surely find a way to copy then leak the trailer online, way before May 4th....and that's worst case scenerio.

I've never heard of a studio sending out their trailers seperately from the movie it's gonna be attached to.

Hate to say it guys, but I really doubt that there will be a trailer for this on SM3...mabye the old one, but it is pretty standard for a new trailer to pop up a little early on the net (we will get the new FF trailer i'm sure instead), and since we are a day away now...I doubt it.

Big mistake by their marketing dept as well...
