What you think about Transformers box office?

    What numberds will be?

How much it will make domesticly and in overseas?

Transformers will be the main movie of July and it should make huge box office.
I think it also should have big marketing to make enough money.
    Transformers should have: 2 teaser-posters, 1 teaser-trailer, 2 full trailers, 1 international trailer, 5 character-posters, 1 full poster and 7 tv-spots.
I think it will be enough.
Also Tranformers will be realesed in 3,615-3,685 theaters. And it will make enough money in opening weekend.
Also transformers will have FF2 as competitorm but I don't think FF2 will make even $130m.
For Transformers the main competitors will be Avatar (if it realeses in summer), Halo and Ratatouille
Spidey 3, Shrek 3, POTC2, Harry Potter 5 will make huge box office results, but they will not be able to hurt Transformers numbers.

    So that is my forecast.
    Opening Weekend: $73m.
    Domestic: $283m.
    Overseas: $352m.
    Worldwide: $635m.

    What is your predictions?

    Very early Predictions:

    Opening Weekend: 37mil

    Total 95mil

    Overseas 125mil

    I smell disappointment.

    Better than The Island though.

C-Man you look like you're predicting Spider-Man 5 or something. Those numbers are way to high!

I just think this movie will have better numbers than WOTW.

And as I know Transformers will be only one movie blockbuster in opening July.

FF2 will bomb as I can predict.

And if Transformers is really good movie with positive WOM, it will make more than $250m.

FF2 will bomb because...you say so??? 130mil isn't bombing by the way, unless the movie cost's 200mil to make. Unlikely.

You think that Transformers will be the only big movie released in july 07? Don't count on it.

No, I didn't say this. FF hardly made $159m, and I can't see sequel making even a bit more than 1st film.

I thought so, because there was only Transformers, which have $200m budget.

But yesterday I read that Harry Potter 5 will be realesed on July 13th.

So now I have understand that Transformers will make about $168m.

Because people will go to see Harry Potter, which as I think will make about $277m.

But I still think Transformers will make really huge opening weekend.

    I am guessing $200-250 million for Transformers, $180-200 million for F4 and $ 250-300 for HP5.
AND THESE ARE ONLY DOMESTIC BOXOFFICE NUMBERS.

TFormers is going to make AT LEAST what F4 made. The fanbase is as big (if not bigger) and it has a better budget for story/FX than F4. There haven't been too many movies that Steven Spielberg has exec produced (or produced for that matter) that have bombed. And with the franchise that him and Bay know they have, they are not going to let this movie not succeed.

Oh...and don't forget the kiddie factor. Kids love Transformers. I say that's at least 50 mil right there.

    Top:

    1. Shrek 3
    2. Spider-Man 3
    3. Harry Potter 5
    4. POTC 3
    5. Ratatouille
    6. Transformers
    7. FT4-2
    8. Halo

From those 8 i expected 3 movie´s who get a July 2007 release in The Netherlands:

Shrek (First weak or July) Dream Works & Paramount (Paramount take it over from Universal. If it whas Universal,Universal France releasd the movie in the Netherlands on dvd. Universal Benelux quite soon.)
FTF (Second weak or July) Fox
POTC 3 (Third weak or July) Buena Vista/Disney

Normaly Spider-Man (Sony) also, but this time Spider-Man 3 get a kind of X-men 2 (Fox) word wide release date on 4 May in The Netherlands,03 May in Belgium and 05 May in the Uk/Vs.

I think Transformers (Dreamworks/Paramount. Dvd: Universal France) get a release of August in the first or second weak. Ratatouille (Buena Vista/Walt Disney/Pixar) i think in September. Halo in August,September or October or Mabey in February 2008. But with so much movie´s in July,it is possible that skip POTC 3 to August.
