Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the late 80s/early 90s, WCW was still pretending to be real wrestling. Even though you have guys with ludicrous gaudy costumes hitting each other with chairs, if you're nine or ten years old, you can believe it's real. It's over-the-top, but not completely past the realms of believability.

Suddenly a guy comes in as ROBOCOP........bang, that's the moment all your illusions are shattered.

I wonder how many kids actually saw this and suddenly realized the whole of professional wrestling is a charade.
