Am I the only one who really liked the movie? It's one of my all time favorites, but I see unbelivable hate for it.

What is you're opinion?

It was okay.

Welcome to the internet. Over reacting hate. :)

I thought it was okay, too. I also liked The Lady In The Water. Sure, it was kinda sugarcoated at times, but I really liked it. It was sweet movie. The Happening on the other hand was horrible piece of s***. But yeah, The Village was okay. Loved the colours.

the Cinematography, Music, and Bryce Dallas Howard preformance win me. Those was the best factors.

And I hate when someone make him look smart with saying ''I saw that ending comming''. It's impossible to predict that kind of twist.

Yes, it's definetly well produced movie and it has great performances. To me, Shyamalan has done only one really crappy movie and that is The Happening. Rest has been great, good and okay. Hahha.

I also really liked this film. At first seeing it in the theatre I was a tad disappointed because I was hoping he was doing an actual monster movie and didn't like the twist but on second viewing I watched it for what it was and it's now my 2nd favorite film of his just under Unbreakable.

It's an interesting movie for me. I really enjoyed it, but I know if I were to watch it again I'd probably hate it. lol

it was entertaining and good imo...

but has zero rewatchability

It looked good, had a good cast, and some beautiful music... but that was about it.

To be honest...I just didn't like it. I figured out the "twist" well into the first act of the film...after that I just lost interest.

I didn't hate it. Didn't love it. I think it's a passable film from Shymalon. I think people were turned off by it because we were lead to believe something different. But I think Shymalon tricking us like that is a good thing. And I liked the twist.

It was decent but I didn't really care to watch it more than once. It was slow enough that it my interest kind of waned, although it did have some interesting points.

The movie was good up until the twist which was about the most idiotic thing I have ever seen. It made me hate it. Lady in the Water was absolutely terrible. A guy that only lifts weights with one hand? Come on:o A movie critic that analyzes his own death in third person? Come on:o

Just watched it again. It's my 10-15 time i guess. Love it even mutcher. Maybe it's beacuse of the idea of a hidden from the evil/greed/money/worries world.

I think the movie is underrated and the last good movie Shyamalan made before his ego took over and ruined his reputation and career. The reason some people probably hate it is because it was marketed (falsely) as a horror movie, when in fact it turned out to be a romance with mystery and suspense elements.
