i think this show sounds good!! do you guys remember abcs time after time? it didn't last past first seaon!! I really enjoyed the show!! I hope war of the worlds does good!!

I remember Time After Time, a shame it was canceled.

The series was good. It did some amazing work on the tripods.
The aliens were scary too.
I have to nitpick though.

It's no way those aliens were able to build any of their tech. Just little plothole.
Strange that none of the human characters mentioned this. But I guess they were too scared to reflect on the subject.
But BBC should have explained it in some way to the viewers.

My own explanation is that we never got to see the real martians. They were only pulling the strings beind the curtain, and released beasts along with war machines on Earth to do the dirty work for them.
As Ogilivy mentioned, it seemed our planet was being terraformed.
Probably in order for them to arrive later on. Which means we still were in danger
