The Warriors Three

How about Ken Watanabe for Hogun?

Hes my dream Shredder but he could be Hogun too

Anyone for Scott Glenn? Anyone? lol

The dude looks pretty old in that picture, and that's from a Wizard from many years ago. I imagine he'd be way out of the age range they're looking for.

Yeah, no. Glenn was born in 1941, so he's 68 now. WAY too old. Tha Wizard was from like ten years ago, where he maybe could have done it.

Probably not even then if they were skewing as young as they seem to be so far. Although the Warriors Three could very well be cast older than Thor, since Volstagg's almost as old as Odin and Hogun and Fandral aren't too far behind. But, on the other hand, divine agelessness and all.

I wouldn't mind if The Warriors come across as older than Thor. They are warriors after all.

Kenneth Branagh as Fandral

Robbie Coltrane as Volstagg

I was always under the assumption the Three WERE older than Thor by quite a few years, as in old enough to train Thor in the warrior ways.

That and they're looking for someone Asian.

That's what I was trying to say, Vartha. While I'm fine with a Mid 20's Thor & Loki, I want The Warriors to be seasoned veterans. BTW I hope Thor looks like youe av pic.

Thanks My Avvy pic is the new Thor. That's Coipel and Djurdjevic a variant cover for number 7 my fave cover to date.
The Warriors Three in my book should be around 30-35 looking. a ten year age difference or equivalent to mortals to the Asgardian's immortality.
The pic from Wizard of Glen Scott even when it was published is too old for Hogun. Watanabe is getting close to being too old looking too, but if Hogun's always wearing his Helmet that could hide that fact.

Warriors Three are going to be found from C-listers, don't dream they'd be major stars.

C listers are fine by me, as long as they are good actors. 300 was a movie filled with C listers and lower, but the movie ended up being awesome. Speedracer on the other hand was filled with names and was terrible. Names do not = quality. As long as the movie ends up being good, I don't care if I've ever heard of any of the cast.

I dont think anyone has really namedropped A-listers for these roles. They named a lot of character actors. People who show up primarily in supporting roles like The Warriors Three

Robbie Coltrane as Volstagg.

Phillip Winchester as Fandral.

Clifton Collins Jr. as Hogum.

Kind of makes you wonder, though: with Thor and Loki taken by relative unknowns, maybe the studio will want some more name power in roles that would traditionally go to character actors.

I disagree. Mostly because I dont think they'd attempt name power on smaller roles considering money, especially already getting into trouble with low-balling. Studios love trends, and Star Trek made bank with practically no name power. Now, you may say that Star Trek has a built in audience and legacy. I would say hell yes, but studios still see a trend and milk it until they cant anymore. Plus Branagh is the kind of guy who infamously needs his way and takes cinema very seriously to an almost annoying degree.

Brendan Gleeson as Volstagg
David Wenham as Fandral
Clifton Collins Jr. as Hogun
