I think Uatu, the famous Watcher, should get a series similar to "Marvels" where the history of the universe is told through his eyes.

I realize 'Earth X" was similar in some ways, but I think it would be really interesting to see things from his point of view.

Anyone agree? He's one hell of an interesting character.

why would anything be different from his point of view?

Because he's everywhere, and sees things from a cosmic perspective...like a kid with an aquarium, just looking in.

If "Marvels" is the street level looking up, this would be the cosmic level looking down. "Oh, what an interesting planet," etc

What would he do? Stand there and talk?

I'm thinking that with the Watcher we could find out about historical events from an entirely different perspective and perhaps with some interesting info as well...so yeah why not?

but Marvels worked because it was from the point of view of an everyday person who was able to interact with his environment whereas with the Watcher it would be us watching him... watch.

Bendis could do a sweet ish of New Avengers from Uatu's perspective:o

i guess a catalogue of events told by the watcher from marvel earths hero history could be interesting..and he thoughts on them all...he was there for quite alot of big events.

You ever find a spider dying all that traumatic and unjustifiable?

I see where you're going, but it's a bit different with the Watcher given his oath of non-interference. the series would become a bit stale what with every issue feature Uatu on the moon watching events transpire without ever participating.

The What ifs were his series. I think all the recent what if relaunches are never going to succeed cuase #1 the storylines suck #2 Joey Q is ignoring the fans pleas to have the Watcher reinstated so he's coming up with stupid......people watching it. The guy going to different websites and opening up different univereses?! What the f?!

That fool never follows his oath...

I agree,I always wonderd why he wouldent have one.ID like to see him and lockjaw togeather.

I don't think the Watcher has much going for him besides watching other universes, and that's why he's great for What If? but I wouldn't buy a mini about him.

He doesn't exactly break that oath very often. Usually just when someone like Galactus is coming for the Earth that the Earthlings have zero ability to stop without him. For the most part, he seems content with watching things.

still,it could just be him watching and thinking things,he doesnt have to be telling anyone,it could be a book with no dialog just his thoughts.Another reason he and lock jaw would get along.

He's really not. He's just a plot device. Something to tell us that something big is happening. (Ben Grimm just stubbed his toe. Normally, I wouldn't worry, but the Watcher is here! So it must portend something.)
