Flag of Sicily puts their own even more bizarre twist on it.

I remember traveling through Central America, leaving Panama and I wanted to get to Colombia. The Darién gap was closed, although there are (unofficial) ways through I couldn't find anyone to take me, so I hitched a ride by boat delivering goods to the Kuna (San Blas) Islands.
Never heard of them? Neither had I.
As we approached the first thing I saw was their flag. I was like what is going on ...who lives here?

Of course I later learned it was just a local symbol and reversed (also common in India), but man that was a major WTF moment.

The original poster is banned (prolly since long ago), and I don't really care for welsh flags. But being a teen in the early 80s who loved NWBHM I have to react. Whats wrong with this:

A thing of beauty designed by Derek Riggs back then. Scared the hell of our parents in those days, but that what it was supposed to do. And yeah, this was when Maiden was underground and kinda progressive musically, and not singing football chorus songs at huge stadiums..
