It appears they're working on it. It will not be addressed with the next patch (1.02, it's already gone live on PC), but it could get addressed with the patch after (1.03), maybe.

Eye stain is a real problem for me so this is fantastic news!

Between the game itself and their willingness to own up to and fix any and all problems Im seriously falling in love with CD Projekt Red.:up:

Love the morality of this world. See a woman getting harassed by thugs, we'll surely if you intervene and save the day you'll be a hero. Not in this world. Actions have REAL consequences. Because you killed the thugs messing with the girl, she's now forced to pack up and leave town as the reprisals for your actions will be far worse than what she was facing before. Nothing is black and white.

Yup.

I'm also playing my Garalt as tough but fair. For example: The family that wanted my help getting rid of the ghost haunting a well, I turned down their gold.. but I totally took it from that ******* that wanted me to kill the Griffin.

I did the same thing. There is no way I'm walking away empty handed for killing a ****ing griffin. I mean, the griffin is technically not evil. It was essentially provoked by the Nilfgaardians, but it was still doing harm anyway and I took it out of the equation. So I mean...that's still on me. And if I'm going that far, I'm taking the money.

The way I see it, Matt Murdock still took the money from Wesley in Daredevil to defend the assassin. He did it to get more information about the enemy and to get some funds for the office. Same thing here.

Here is the way I look at it. I would rather take more money out of the pockets of scumbags, than hard working good citizens. Maybe it's blood money, but I feel better not taking the money for actually helping some good hard on their luck citizens than total jerks. I've put them down some money for these actions. IMHO, that's win-win.

More so since it seems like I never have more than 200 gold at a time. :/

Unlimited Gold Trick

Step 1: Go to the merchant at Hierarch Square in Novigrad. Buy all his Shells and Sea Shells. Now exit the shop and talk to the merchant again, he will have all shells in stock again! Buy as many as you can.

Step 2: Go to the armorer right next to the merchant. Dismantle the Shells to get pearls. Sell the pearls to the armorer until he runs out of money.

Step 3: Meditate for 5 days and the armorer will have roughly 1000 coins again. Sell pearls to him again, and repeat as many times as you want.

Buying and dismantling a Shell costs 8 coins, while selling the pearl you get from it gives you 109 coins: that's 101 coins profit per shell.

And here is another exploit involving cow hides.

Nice. Think I'll pass tho. The game is too good to do anything the cheap or easy way. I'll just take on more contracts to earn some coin

"Everything sells for **** in this game."

No freaking kidding! It's like, how am I supposed to advance and get the potions and weapons and things that I need when there is literally no money to do so!

This is why players look for cheats and exploits.

I dont consider stuff like this cheating. Its not altering the games code. These "exploits" are no different than me engaging in commerce in real life. Buy product from one merchant, turn it into another product, sell to another merchant rinse repeat. In fact its what I do for a living. My employer buys logs. Turns them into lumber. We dress them and sell them to another buyer who then turns it into furniture and frames and tables. We do it every day and the conpany makes bank. So Geralt is doing the same with sea shells and pearls.

Players cheat or use exploits because they are riddled with ADD and don't wont to work for anything and want everything handed to them from the second they boot up the game. There are PLENTY of ways to earn coin in this game without having to resort to cheating. Also youre a Witcher, not a wealthy nobleman. Coin isn't supposed to be something you're loaded with.

And yet when I work and do the side quests and discover caches of treasure, the rewards are nil.

Also, exploits are not necessarily cheating. Those are holes the developers created that they didn't foresee.

Just saying, the game or quest says you need certain things at certain times when there is literally no coin or really way to get it other than wasting six hours of FARMING to do it. You shouldn't have to farm for six hours in a game to make progress.

You are a Witcher, not a farmer.

Read my post above. Using commerce in an RPG isnt cheating anymore than manufacturing in real life is "cheating". If you want to scrape by with barely any money do it. But some of us prefer to make lots of money and if turning seashells into pearls for a profit to do it is a bad thing then I dont want to be right.

Pfft, I took the money from the family too. Hell, I even haggled and managed to get an extra 3 crowns from them.

I'm a witcher. I can't work for free.

More so since it seems like I never have more than 200 gold at a time. :/

That's the life of a witcher.

I feel like it further justifies my approach to getting paid for all Witcher-work procured.

I'll do this coin thing.. Only to get te DLC armor and horse stuff.

Because I feel I should t have to buy free DLC. :p

When is the first horse and armor DLC going up for PS4 and where do you obtain it? Should it just be in your inventory?

Amen!

If you downloaded the game digitally the Vendor in the first town (the one you rescued) has them.

For a hefty damn price.

You see, IMHO DLC stuff like that is supposed to be in your inventory and you don't pay for it in game unless you like discard it yourself.

Does the game penalize you if you go back to White Orchard when you are supposed to go to Velen?

Damn leveling seems to take for ever in this game, I'm struggling to complete some missions even though they are green. Had to abandon one at the end as I could not kill the final boss even with putting it on easy. I seem to suck at this at the moment, still love it but it is kicking my backside.
