too bad it got delayed. :waa:

Hah i know. At least the delay isn't too long. The game was a late 2014 title and now its an early 2015 one, so not too bad and im sure the delay will help CDPR deliver a really kick ass game. Only thing that sucks is they'll miss out on getting the 2014 game of the year. Ah well, they'll have to win that in 2015 i guess.

on the bright side, it gives us something to look forward to in 2015.

CD Projekt Red on the Witcher 3 PS4/Xbox One differences.

"We are still working on squeezing the juice out of the consoles and Microsoft are supporting us in this respect," Iwinski told me. "The final effect, whether it's 720p, 1080p - we had the debate in the studio about it and actually asked our tech guys to explain how it works, and they sent me some complicated graphs that 'if I have this size of the screen, and I sit one meter or two meters from it, then I might be able to see the difference'.

"It's more of a PR differentiation," he added, "which is very important for Sony right now - and they are using it, obviously - than something that is really meaningful to gamers.

"We're definitely working to max out each of the platforms in terms of what we can get, because that's a crucial element of The Witcher. Will there be big differences? Really I don't think so. It's too early to say. If there will be, they will be tiny. It will be more like people talking 'hey, I have this and you have that and this is better'."

It may be silly but with a 65" TV 1080 vs 720 matters to me. If it's 1080 on both I may get the XB1 version as the last one I had was on 360.. If it's only 1080p on PS4 then that's the one I'd get.

Hopefully they can get 1080p on both.. At this stage in the game it really should be.

Yea I don't know if they'll be the exact same, but what the devs are saying is that the difference won't matter, for this game any way. He's saying it only matters to the user who can claim "well my version is 'better'".

HOLY HELL!

The new gameplay trailer is AMAZING! You've not seen anything like it.

Oh, My, God. Ciri, Triss and Yennefer. :wow:

The trailer I have been begging for. The gameplay is really something else. It looks fantastic. This is also example of why while I like Watchdogs, Ubisoft's lack of progression is telling in the face of the Witcher 3.

Well in Ubis defense, that isn't a true next gen game, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is ALL NEXT GEN.

Nice!!!

E3 has been ruined for me. Unless Rockstar shows up with Max Payne 4 or we somehow see Half-Life 3, which won't happen, nothing can touch this for me. Not even if Uncharted 4 stars Indiana Jones himself. :D

There is no excuse for the stagnation at Ubisoft, not when you consider the strides companies like Rockstar and Cd Projekt RED have made. Well other then money of course. I still enjoy the games, but there hasn't been any progress since AC II.

The progress between The Witcher, Assassins of Kings and the Wild Hunt is insane. Look at how enormous, gorgeous, smart and new the Wild Hunt looks. The style and gameplay has changed from night to day. The Wild Hunt just looks phenomenal on all fronts.

Consumers don't think they are stagnating, they still are buying their products in droves.

I know what ya mean though.

Yea its really gonna be hard for ANY title to top Wild Hunt. This game is why people bought a next gen console or upgraded their PC. Next gen 'arrives' with The Witcher III: Wild Hunt.

As I said, I still buy and play their games, though it took me awhile to catch up on the Assassin Creed 2 spin offs. My favorite game from Ubisoft the last decade is either Rayman Legends or Black Flag, but the latter is the ultimate in "refinement". I almost like it in spite of itself. Watch Dogs really is Creed crossed with GTA, and not in a flattering way.

When you see something like The Witcher 2 coming after the Witcher, and now this, it just shows you what can be done if the company is bold and has the talent to back it up. Valve, Rockstar, RED, and Platinum show what can be done from game to game.

There is an actual group of Witchers in combat in the trailer. Ciri is there. There are no words. So beautiful.

Especially with Arkham Knight be postponed, probably beyond The Wild Hunt's release date.

Yea for sure, but don't forget there is a bigger gap between games that companies like CD Projekt put out. We get an AC game every year, its hard to spot those advancements on yearly titles.

Is the white haired woman Geralt's adopted daughter?

Also, that Wild Hunt leader looks exactly like Sauron.
