Most, if not all developers feel that way. Gamers far too often get the developer and the publisher confused, they are not the same. CDPR has the benefit of not having to bow to a publisher that is only interested in the bottom line. Most developers don't have that luxury. DICE, the creators of Battlefield, were saying the same things CDPR was before they were aquired by EA. The developers are artists, they want to put out great work and of course be compensated for it, but at the end of the day, for most devs, it's about the art of what they are doing. Publishers, 9 times outta 10 ONLY see the ROI.
