The Witcher 3

Yeah I'm much more excited for Witcher 3 than the other 2 although I definitely look forward to playing those 2 also. And I'm sure the next Elder Scrolls will slay all comers.

Is it good? I'm sure I'll like it but ESVI is what I'll get really excited about.

I haven't played Elder Scrolls, but from what I gather, it's one of those games I would probably have preferred as a single player game with a good story than, another MMORPG. Even though I will probably pick it up.

Question:

Is this the best reviewed game this gen thus far? I'm not counting "Super HD ports" that have their old score pulled over. They're not "next gen" to me.
I think there have been games that have scored higher, but right now this and bloodborne are tied for the best reviewed and critically acclaimed games that are neither remasters or crossgen titles.

Yennefer seems really high maintenance.

Why does she need to have sex with Geralt on a stuffed unicorn?

No, no its not.

I watched a friend play Elder Scrolls Online last year, and I also wasn't impressed. Bethesda published it, but ZeniMax developed the game and they are no Bethesda. I guess we should be grateful tho. Since Bethesda contracted the MORPG out to ZeniMax it freed Bethesda up to work on other more important things.

Oh wow, Elder Scrolls Online comes with a one time key... so you can't resell it, or buy it used.

...good luck with that.

It lack everything that makes Skyrim and the other games work.

I really haven't heard anything great or negative about the MMORPG.
Really? It has been getting killed by players and many a reviewer. It has the rep of being super boring, to the point that many stopped in mid-review and just stopped playing it. It is why it went free to play very quickly.

Well, on consoles it will have the luxury of having relatively little competition.

That is only true for the PC version. Zenimax Studios confirmed that the console version can be bought and traded just like any other console game.

The physical console version of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited does not require a one-time game code. As with any other boxed PS4 / Xbox One game only the game disc is needed for verification.

Batman is a fantasy MMORPG?

The only competition is Final Fantasy XIV.

There's also f2p MMO Neverwinter on Xbox One, it has 1.6 million players. But it is f2p, so no idea how many are actively playing and whether or not it will affect Elder Scrolls Online. I have played a little bit of ESO and bought it for Xbox, got it cheap because I had the pc version. To be honest it isn't really good Elder Scrolls game, and it's an average MMO. It has gotten better since the release I guess.

On topic: Nice too see The Witcher 3 getting those great reviews. Unfortunately (ok it's not that unfortunate) I'm trying to play through Witcher 2 before 3, so I'm probably not playing day 1. :csad:

That's a worthy excuse. Wicher 3 isn't going anywhere and Witcher 2 is a fantastic game

No, no its not.

Did you PLAY it? Because I did.. And yes it's good. It's a freaking Elder Scrolls game with friends. The main story that's roughly 60 hours or more can even be solo'd.

The reason people stopped playing is because of the fee.. The game should have ALWAYS been f2p as should most MMO's anymore. One of my buddies put 500 hours into the PC version, beta tested the console version and said much like Diablo III ESO Console Version will be the definitive version.

The story is good, IMHO probably better than Skyrim (or as like to call Play as a Nord of feel weird) the dungeons are challenging and the crafting is great and extremely original.. More so than it is in most MMO's. The game suffered pretty big glitches and bugs when first released but that shouldn't be a problem now.

Literally if you like ES there's absolutely NO reason to not like this game. None. Elder Scrolls with friends.. Which is something I've been asking for sine Morrowind. No more ****** AI Compainions.

Ive been trying my best to get through Diablo 3 before this game comes out. I just started Act 3 so it doesnt look like it will be happening

I didn't buy it, but a buddy did. So played it over a weekend. And this wasn't right when the game just came out. It was a was a few months down the road. It is not like Elder Scrolls with friends. I have never played an Elder Scrolls game that felt this cheap.

It also did not review well:

The Gamespot review is a perfect example.

The best thing about ESO, are the amazing trailers.

She lets Geralt sleep around. She isn't that high maintenance.

How do we know she isn't?

The unicorn thing is still completely mental.

For a game that supposedly recorded 16 hours worth of motion capture for sex scenes, looks like they just used the same animation for the scenes over and over again just like the second game.
