Very good points.
I've been a wrestling fan since the 80's and I have to tell ya, the last 5 years haven't been too great.
WWE was pretty predictable in the past, but its become even more so now. It just seems like its totally ran out of ideas. Very stale and stagnant.
I think its mainly because they really don't have a lot of mega-superstars anymore.
The only ones I would count for that are Triple H and........come to think of it, I think he's it.
Shawn Michaels is on vacation and Ric Flair is on fumes. Other than that, there doesn't seem to be any more of those larger-than-life personalities.
WWE is trying. I see that when they make pushes for Orton, Lashley, Batista, Cena, Carlito, and now Kennedy, but for some strange reason they can't seem to mold a new Macho Man, a new Hogan, a new Andre the Giant, a new Austin, a new Bret Hart, a new Rock.
Guys who single-handily can knock a roof off its hinges by just showing up at an arena.
I kind of miss Kurt Angle though. I think he has that ability.
BTW, did you just see the report of the 10 superstars being suspended by WWE.
It was just on ESPN. They won't name names, but some Internet searching has brought up some interesting names as possibles.
Orton and Mr. Kennedy being on that list. If thats true, then there are some major storylines that are going to need to be revised in the coming weeks.
