Which is why you don't have Roman Reigns going after the belt until the Royal Rumble.

Hell, use Ambrose to build up the Wyatt's title run while Reigns continues his mini-feud with Triple H/Stephanie.
You seem to be forgetting a lot of things. Wyatt cost Reigns a title shot at Money in the Bank in June. They feuded consistently for the next 4 months, where things ended at Hell in the Cell in Octiber with reigns being victorious.

The very next night, Reigns wins the Fatal Four to be the number one contender against Seth, until Seth gets hurts a week later. At that point, Reigns is the favorite and the number one contender. You sort of need him to be int he title hunt at that point, because quite frankly, Rollins' injury messed up everything.

But the last thing you do is extend a 4 month feud for another few months by making Wyatt the champ. And you don't make Wyatt the champ after he's been beaten several times by the number one contender. People are already tired of seeing the same match between those two and there's no momentum.

Their best bet would have been to play it safe and just let Cena have the belt, but he was already getting time off and they obviously didn't know he was going to get hurt shortly after coming back. The only issue there is there's no real buildup to his record breaking championship run, and he would have most likely had to lose to Reigns at Mania. But since he wasn't available, they were pretty much forced in the direction they want it. And the problem is that they're trying to force us to accept Reigns as he is.

Who does AJ feud with next? It was clear last night that the Jericho feud ended and so with WM coming up as the next ppv, where does he go from here?

I'm hoping AJ wins a #1 contenders match on Raw tonight for the IC title at WM, I never get tired of Owens vs Ziggler but it's time for AJ vs Owens or at least a triple threat with AJ vs Owens vs Ziggler.

If I would have paid to watch that PPV, I'd have been pissed.

Had Reigns not won the WWE title at all, his title match against Helmsley would've been worth something, but since he's already a 2x time champ, it took out the wind out of the sails and now nobody in general cares.

This is the best they could come up with for 100,000 fans? Looks like Undertaker will have to save the show again in his match against Vacant.

Owens was calling him out last night on Twitter.

AJ and Owens has definitely got to be what's next for him, in terms of feuds. But I would loe to see him work a match against Ziggler on Raw. Someone who's younger and agile, and can keep up with him.

Agreed. The quick championship run takes all the wind out of his upcoming Wrestlemania moment.

I'm probably one of Roman Reign's few fans and am fine with his push but even I would prefer him in a top heel role than the company's new top guy.

Either way I don't see WM being doomed and all that bs. AJ vs Owens would likely be MOTN and a few other mid card matches could be fine.

The main event itself may be a decent enough match.

I don't dislike Roman Reigns either, but he looks more like a heel than anything. I mean, how awesome would it have been if he won the title at the Tournament and just laid out Dean Ambrose then.

Then you have him as the Corporate champ and Ambrose chasing him all the way to Wrestlemania.

I would have marked out if Reigns had shook Trip's hands when he had offered him to turn to get a better chance at the title and be his new champion.

Thinking about it, I'm pretty sure I remember the crowd cheering Trip's offer and booed when Reigns stayed the heroic route.

Oh so, Between Cena and Reigns, who needs a Heel turn more, and who is more likely to get one first?

I'd say Reigns for both.

It would benefit Reigns better in his career now.

Cena has long passed his chance. A heel turn now for him would just be weird.

If I can be a wrestle-grump for a hot second...

Who here remembers a time where the superkick wasn't used at least 3 times a match? That move has been completely devalued. I swear in 15 years the Tombstone Piledriver will be the equivalent of a chop.

I feel like Dolph Ziggler on his own has devalued the Superkick, Famous-er and Jericho's Code Breaker.

Nobodies finisher is respected these days. Even the Tombstone has been kicked out of multiple times by multiple people.

Eh? Hogan had his legendary heel turn long after his prime.

I agree with the Superkick. It doesn't help everybody does the freaking Spear these days either.

Look whats happened to the ddt.

True, I totally forgot about him.

Can't think off another heel turn (other than the one you pointed out) at John's point in his career that actually meant something though.

You could argue that Andre's heel turn is analogous as well, if you adjust for his much briefer career (at least as a full-time wrestler) and briefer lifespan.

Jake the Snake also went (back) to being an incredibly effective heel fairly late in his career.

Welp, call me corrected :woot:

Given that John Cena is the modern day Hogan. That comparison is the one that matters the most.

Once Cena has done everything he can humanly do as a face, a heel turn would be a great way to extend the lifeblood of his career.
