Did anybody else enjoy Sting's heel run in '99?,It's seen as a failure but I overall enjoyed it,It made sense for him to turn on Hogan and talk about being screwed and even though he complained a bit and was so pissed he was actually right like when he was angry at JJ Dillon after losing the title on a PPV the night before because the world title wasn't advertised as a title match yet he lost the title anyway after the match.

He looked even more awesome with the angrier looking crow face paint and coming out to Metalica's Seek&Destroy song,It was a nice few months after being a face for years from the goody golden boy to the dark&mysteruous hero to a mix of both as Wokpack Sting to turning heel on Hogan after Hogan turned back to red&yellow after those nWo years

I liked hum better as a face. Wolfpac Sting reeked of desperation.

- Job website Glassdoor.com currently has 41 reviews on WWE from former employees of the company. WWE has a 3.5 out of 5 rating from former employees and 63% of them would recommend the company to a friend. 83% of former WWE employees approve of CEO Vince McMahon.

Here’s a positive review from a former editorial intern:

“‘Great people and meaningful work’

Pros – You get to write about something that is exciting and fun. The people at the magazine are really cool and everybody was genuinely interested in the product. The magazine people had good vacation days.

Cons – The job can be demanding and you need to have a good knowledge of Wrestling. It’s extrememly hierarchical, advancement is slow.

Advice to Senior Management – Reward talented people and be more creative. Too often new ideas are shot down or forgotten.”

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Here’s a negative review from a former department Director:

“‘Great Brand, lousy place to work!’

Pros – The good part of working at WWE is the brand! Even if you’re not a Wrestling fan, you can’t help but be enthusiastic about the engine that sells wrestling. The Community group does a great job humanizing the organization with their efforts with the American Cancer Society and Special Olympics. Most of the wrestlers are great people and treat everyone respectfully and appreciative of the teams that support them!

Cons – The corporate culture is horrible! The culture is one of blame and CYA. It is an organization that claims that they want process and innovation when in reality it is one that is driven by live TV/Network and can’t sustain a process driven model of anything-whether it’s creative, development or financial. The digital team doesn’t have enough experience and depth to bring any product to life successfully -at least one that isn’t fraught with defects and significant failures. The leadership team didn’t care about the individuals, only that they produced and made them look good-certainly not about the team. I may have learned a lot technologically but it wasn’t worth the 60 hour work weeks and lack of support and appreciation for those efforts.

Advice to Senior Management – Hire people that are open minded, not chauvinists. Hire leaders not bosses and people that are interested in getting the job done and not blaming others for mistakes-encourage some failures. If the Digital organization was run the same way that Live Events were then the teams would be much happier and productive.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I’m not optimistic about the outlook for this company”

The Glassdoor website says they verify that all reviewers really worked for the companies they are commenting on.

It's rather amusing how CM Punk exists all of a sudden. Don't tell me they're doing this to try and sway Punk to reconsider?

I want Punk back don't get me wrong but this is like they are pandering to him lol

What do you mean?

Ugh to this weeks countdown. Cena with the number one return? Not in my world, ever.

I just realized that Raw is in my city next week. And knowing my damn luck, Sting would probably show up in person, after I have spent months ADAMANT about not going to this Raw.

FML.

Sting's deal is strictly with Take-Two so I doubt he'll be there,

Yeah.

And Reigns, Ambrose and Rollins aren't enough alone to get me to pay for a WWE event....... yet. So I'll stick with my guns and not go.

It would be great to see the [BLACKOUT]2K15 Sting trailer[/BLACKOUT] with all the Richmond smarks, though.

Smackdown spoilers for 7/11 from prowrestling.net:

7/8 WWE Smackdown taping spoilers: Full coverage of the taping for Friday's television show

Roman Reigns and Rusev had a tussle to kickoff the show. The confrontation ended abruptly.

1. WWE Divas Champion A.J. Lee beat Naomi. There were a few C.M. Punk chants. AJ won after Cameron came out and distracted Naomi.

Renee Young interviewed Randy Orton backstage. He hyped his match with Chris Jericho for later in the show...

2. Adam Rose beat Fandango (w/Layla) by count out. There was an effort to get dueling chants going, but it was the wrong city for that. Summer Rae attacked Layla out of nowhere, which led to Fandango being counted out. Rose hit the Party Foul after the three minute match...

3. WWE Tag Team Champions The Uso Brothers defeated Heath Slater and Titus O'Neil. Slater still came out to the "We're a Three Man Band" theme song. A squash win for the tag champs. After the match, the Uso Brothers cut a promo about facing Luke Harper and Erick Rowan at Battleground...

A new commercial for WWE2K15 featuring John Cena aired...

4. Randy Orton beat Chris Jericho. Jericho made his entrance and the Wyatt Family appeared on the big screen and sang "The Whole World..." which woke up the live crowd. Orton was out next and was a heat magnet. Jericho is so loved that it had the crowd louder. There was a lot of brawling outside the ring to start with Orton getting the upper hand and cutting off Jericho's momentum. Jericho was distracted by the Wyatt Family music and hit the RKO for the win...

5. Layla fought Summer Rae to a no-contest when both women attacked special referee Fandango...

6. Goldust beat Ryback...

7. Bo Dallas defeated Diego and El Torito in a handicap match...

8. Roman Reigns beat Rusev by DQ when Randy Orton interfered...

Our correspondent had to leave the taping unexpectedly, so some of the results listed above are courtesy of WrestlingInc.com.

Sting's holdup is probably the reason we haven't had any news on the 4 DVD box set of Sting's career from WWE.

The DVD is the only reason most of us want Sting to sign with WWE.

I think putting the belt on Reigns or Wyatt without a solid chase would be doing them a huge disservice. It's the difference between Daniel Bryan winning the WHC via briefcase & the year-long chase for the title.

Bryan's quest for the WWE title was two years overdue and both he and WWE are paying a steep price. WWE should have struck while the iron was hot and they could have had two years of DB putting on classic main events. Instead, they let him languish and Father Time dealt them an untimely blow. No wrestler's prime lasts for long and some are shorter than others. DB, if he comes back at all, might never be the same.

Plus 34 year old Orton is hardly middle aged.

While there is no universal standard for middle age, it's most often defined in the medical community as starting at 35 or 40. Given that athletes in competitive sports are usually playing at a diminished capacity, back-ups, or retired at Orton's age, I have no problem stating that he's part of WWE's problem. He's been main eventing for a decade and he was never that great from the outset. He's an old, tired act in a biz that is begging for freshness.

Moreover, WWE is set to bring back the 37-year-old Lesnar and possibly Sting, a senior citizen. Is it any wonder that WWE continues to tumble in popularity when teens and 20-somethings see events headlined by people as old as their parents and grandparents? Sorry, WWE, it's a young person's biz; you used to understand that.

OK, there's a main event I might actually watch.

Pretty sure it was confirmed it would be a match compilation DVD.

Cool new episode of Countdown on big returns!

The heel turn might have worked if they had stuck to it instead of turning him back almost two months later. Not to mention accomplishing nothing since he was stripped of title rather quickly. Actually it probably did succeed in angering a lot of WCW fans since was stripped as a result of a Goldberg Dusty win.

Where the hell did the title to this thread come from?

It was kind of surprising to see that. I still won't get my hopes up, but in the least they shouldn't pretend that he didn't exist.

Ah I see, I doubt Punk is sitting watching the Network so I doubt it will have any effect, his contract is up in a couple of weeks so I expect either a big angle after Battleground or a quiet future endeavoring.

I finished Raw from last night and....if that's the structure to be expected from Raw going forward where there's only 2-3 good things about a 3 hour wrestling show then no way is Raw going to be watchable.

I don't get off work until ten so if in lucky I might see the last half hour if raw and then catch the highlights elsewhere. Otherwise It would feel like a chore to watch Raw. I don't know how they could justify three hours on a weekly basis. It feels repetitive reading the results.

Tanahashi, Nakemura, and Okada shirts now at prowrestlingtees.
