Well they let Joe keep his name unless they changed it recently haven't been watching NXT lately too many things I had to watch. And Just when WWE pulls me out they pull me back in with these Signings and changing up the Royal Rumble a bit. Well have to see if they let AJ keeep his name because if he gets named something else my guess is the NXT crowd will still chant AJ styles.

He's still Samoa Joe.

I definitely see AJ going straight to the mason roster

Would they change AJ Styles name? His real name is Allen Jones and I would not be surprised if they go with that.

I could see Nakamura in WWE go by his last name in WWE.

I don't know if there's anything to this but Kenny Omega will appear on UpUpDownDown hosted by Zavier Woods which is sponsored by WWE.

AJ should stay AJ. He's always been the one guy from TNA that wrestling fans have heard of, even if they haven't watched anything other than WWE. Shinsuke Nakamura on the other hand, given WWE's track record with foreign wrestlers (Tajiri, Cesaro, Rusev), I think a name change or last name only deal in in store for him. Long live the King of Strong Style.

indeed...I think he keeps the AJ Styles name

So ten years ago, I was a big Ring of Honor fan. I saw all these talented wrestlers and thought that maybe someday I'll see them in WWE. Lo and Behold a decade later and most of them are already in WWE or as in the case of AJ Styles, on his way there. The roster back then had all of these future WWE Employees:

- Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan)
- Tyler Black (Seth Rollins)
- El Generico (Sami Zayn)
- KENTA (Hideo Itami)
- Kevin Steen (Kevin Owens)
- Samoa Joe
- Sara Del Rey (Sara Amato)
- Adam Pearce
- Jimmy Jacobs

and now AJ Styles

and possibly Austin Aires. They are said to be interested in Jay Lethal, who was in ROH when I first started watching. Amato, Jacobs and Pearce are in NXT in non-wrestling capacities.

And as I recall, they had agreed to terms with Nigel McGuinness, but he failed his physical and went to TNA. They had brought in Ricky Romeo as guest trainer at the WWE PC a month ago.

indeed...I think he keeps the AJ Styles name

Seeing as how there's a 0% chance of AJ Lee returning and also a 0% chance of Joey Styles ever returning to doing anything on WWE TV outside of the occasional ECW special on WWE Network, I think the chances are high he keeps his name.

Steen/Nakamura 2 needs to happen. And I'd like to see Styles/Lesnar and Styles/Rollins, too.

I am a big Chris Jericho fan, but I didn't care for his return last night because of the news of these four signings.

Would they change AJ Styles name?

Would they? Sure. This is Vince & Co. that we're talking about. Should they? Absolutely not! If you sign one of the biggest names (in terms of career) outside of WWE, one of the best wrestlers in the world, and one of the few performers that people outside of the IWC might have at least a little familiarity with, you should allow him to keep the ring name that he used while achieving that success. (Not to mention it's one of the cooler ring names in the business)

Obviously, WWE has been more open to this recently, allowing Joe and James Storm to use their ring names in NXT. Hopefully, that same courtesy will be extended to AJ, even if he does debut on the main roster.

If Anderson and Gallows do go to WWE, does this mean the end of talkin' shop?:csad:

AJ is finally going(well technically, going back)to WWE??? Oh hell to the yeah and I pray that he keeps the AJ Styles name and just goes straight to the main roster.

Now there's also a great chance he'll be a playable character in the next wwe 2K game and not have to create or download him as always.

you mean like 12 people that are actual WWE fans

the IWC wants that, and really no one else right now

So " IWC Members" can't be actual WWE fans? The individuals who are classified as IWC are no better or worse than the casual WWE only fan. I've watched WWE for years, don't single people like me out because we'll actually stop watching for a bit if I don't like it, or actually dare to discuss negative things at times. You would be generalised as an IWC fan too quite frankly.

Samoa Joe and James Storm kept their names. I see no reason AJ won't

Sweet. Can we rehash the AJ vs. Joe rivalry? WrestleMania 32?

Via Reddit:

From the Reddit Guy [he actually broke this whole Styles/Nakamura story - my note]:

I was told early this morning that Rocky Romero, Bad Luck Fale and Tama Tonga are all negotiating with WWE.
Romero has talked about being a guest trainer, he is well liked by everyone. He is close with Matt Bloom from their time in NJPW. He would likely be a player/coach in NXT.
Tama and Fale appear to be trying to negotiate a better spot with NJPW. Fale would have to move continents to work for WWE, while Tama actually lives in Tampa. With Karl and Doc leaving, it would make sense that they move up into the top gaijin tag spot.
I'd guess none of them go anywhere and end up with better deals from NJPW.

I always considered anyone discussing wrestling on the internet as a member of the IWC. I don't know why Comish even made the distinction.

With this whole Bullet Club buzz, I see that WWE is taking Smackdown's move to USA seriously. This is good news for the quality of the product overall as there will be too much talent and too much money spent to squander this. Five hours a week on a major network is more than enough space to make everyone on the main roster get some level of spotlight.

Damn, I didn't know that before he joined WCW, Bischoff auditioned for WWE and had to interview a broom.

The more you know.

And then we would have never gotten the Attitude or Ruthless Aggression Eras.

:wow:

I wonder what it would have been like had Bischoff worked for Vince back then. Like would he have risen up in the ranks as much, and would he have won Vince over as a friend.

I think the whole concept of Reigns defending his title in the Rumble is awesome. Reigns winning is not even a bad idea. We still would be guessing what the fallout will be.

So what if reigns and number 29 are last in the rumble, Roman throws 29 over the top awaiting 30. All 4 members of the bullet club come out, destroy reigns and then all leave the ring at once. No winner no champ and we have a new faction

Yeah I know I stole it from what cultures now booking but we can dream can't we lol
